So in this situation - Is the receiver of the monitor now the legal owner of it? Can dabs go after them to get the monitor back? Or is UPS going to be liable for it?

100-percent illegal to open someone else's mail. If their name is not on it, then they would be breaking the law. Hardly worth it for something that is too easy to catch. UPS guy would easily know where he delivered it too.

UPS do have the tendency of delivering packages, not getting signatures, and saying they did, and from the recipients name, rather than whoever answers the door.

Still, it's UPS who have to confirm delivery to the correct address to the retailer. Don't even bother contacting UPS, although you could and tell them you didn't get it and ask them who did they deliver it too.

Just tell the retailer, nothing was delivered to my address, or signed by anyone at this address. They can't ague, because UPS will not have any signature to show.

Shocking state of affairs when your spending that amount of money that the goon doin the deliveries can't be arsed to deliver it to the proper recipient! Says a lot about ups, guy should be sacked no questions asked

UPS are a disaster and always have been. I cry a little when they are the only option given for delivery.

I'd wait for DX12, could breathe new life into AMDs chips.

Your GPU is never too powerful though :D

Amd have a new architecture on the way early next year. It's called Zen and it was designed by Jim Keller who designed the old Athlon 64's which made AMD huge. There will be 8 core/16 thread variants with much higher per core performance than the FX range and much lower power consumption.

Worth waiting to see what they are like anyway. Supposed to be out around May 2016.

I just knew I shouldn't have jinxed it. Apparently the package has gone missing with UPS

Sorry to hear that man, I'd be knocking on the fellas door asking for my gear and reporting theft if they didn't hand it over. Last time I used Dabs they shipped with DPD who have always been great for me.

I wonder will the new postcode system stop this kind of carry on, since each specific house has its own code couriers can't then claim to have delivered to the right house if they delivered it to a different one with a different postcode.

Cheers. Just actually in the process of rolling back to windows 8 and set back up the overclock. New Fifa was taking about 15 mins to go through one menu so feck that and demo was working fine on windows 8. I'll stay with windows 8. Any of you guys any trouble with windows 10 with games? Same issue with other games I have. It's paired with an r9 280. Only upgraded to windows 10 yesterday.

So we had a power cut earlier and now my PC won't power on. I assume this means the PSU but is there a way I can be sure?

Tried two sockets with two different plugs..

Tried jump starting it.. No life.. I assume this means the PSU is dead

No issues so far for me with a G3258 and an R9 270x on Windows 10. I dont have the G3258 Over Clocked though as I couldn't get it stable so gave up but that was prior to upgrading to Windows 10, haven't tried since.

    My Monitor arrived today, finally.

Of course, it was smashed to bits.

That's totally **** Terror, hard luck.

    Pics?

    I've had it with Dabs.

There wasn't even any wrapping or protection in the box, literally just the monitor casually ****ed into an outer box.

If it was delivered to someone else as you posted previously maybe they unpacked it?

It's actually illegal to sell broken or damaged goods like this without making it clear in the description exactly what is wrong with it.

Of course they can claim it happened in transit but selling it at that price they have to have known it was fecked.

I'd be looking for a full refund of everything including shipping fees or else I'd be threatening legal action.

Totally unprofessional sticking it in a box like that as well.

Yeah but that's on Dabs. In between it being taken back and re-sent to me, they'd hardly just take their word that it was what it was, and would recheck it before sending it out again - especially when I'd had hassle in the first place.

I'm pretty sure it was damaged in transit, because of the way it was packaged -face down with no protection, and the screen lying on top of power adaptor/display port cables to boot.

I've sent them an email anyway saying that I want it escalated to a manager immediately. Just to see what they say.

I hadn't realised it had gone back to Dabs ..... thought the courier recovered it and made a correct delivery the second time around.

They are truly woeful and the CS is worse. I had loads of trouble on my one and only order with them. Ended up emailing their CEO to get it sorted. She's Helen Slinger if you want to follow that route.
