Zero vat returns for bi monthly

    Zero vat returns for bi monthly, ROS won't let me sign off on it?? Say's the amount must be more than zero?. Its blocking my Tax clearance as a sole trader right in the middle of a contract, anybody any idea's? I have rang them numerous occasions, no help really. ? all my other Vat returns have gone through. this is really affecting my business.

    Any thoughts peeps? :mad:

    cheers yeah makes sense, even my accountant doesnt know what to do and she's good!, but if they already have on record zero in each box would submitting a 1 euro, look like I'm messing around? In their eyes,

    You should be able to submit zero VAT returns. The issue is when you go to the payment section you have to check the box to "File Return Only". You can't submit a payment for €0 so checking the box to file return only avoids this.

    I did that SRASE, Thanks, and it filed, but is still blocking my tax clearance! when I put in for it! ..

    It can take three days for ROS to properly update once a return is filed. Try again after that.
