Clues that a person is about as sharp as a marble?

Generally speaking, what makes you consider a person to be unintelligent? Or lacking in common sense, maybe.

Personally, it's anyone who takes the horoscopes seriously. Or is superstitious in general! Or someone who uses celebrities as role models instead of actual people.

tea break gives away a lot- gossip mag discussion, or tabloid headline level political discourse.

generally, if someone gets agitated at any disagreement on a topic they hadnt personal involvement in, I'd start to write them off pretty quickly, control/distance is a pretty important facet imo

People who take everything they read as fact. Things that make no sense, things that are illogical, they can see this and still you get "well that's what I read, it must be true" drives me bananas and usually leads me to believe the person can't think for themselves and may not be very bright

I was meaning more vacuous celebrities. I would consider Jessica Ennis a celebrity and a brilliant role model at the same time. I couldn't say the same for a pop star like Nicki Minaj :P

People who make the same mistakes again and again. I had a colleague once and I really thought that having his various **** ups exposed might encourage him to change his ways. Or at the very least he wouldn't make the exact same mistakes again. Not a bit of it, always the same stupid ****. He excelled at shifting the blame, lying and being a sycophant. These are all the skills the modern idiot needs to thrive in the work place.
