    Ugh, I've been getting gel nails done the past 2 years and always have lovely nails done. My best friend is learning how to do gels and has been begging me to let her do mine. She passed her exams on Tuesday and was really excited, and told me she would do my nails for my birthday.
    All I needed was refills. The shape was there, I didn't need tips, just file it down, build it up and paint them.

    She ruined them. The shape is ruined, the builder gel was put on too thin so my nails have snapped, and the colour was peeling off and now is all congealed around my cuticles. I could cry! It's going to cost me 60 euro to get them fixed

    Oh no, are they badly damaged??? A friend of mine is learning to do gel nails aswell and not a hope will I be letting her near mine. My usual lady would be upset if I did change but she gives me a lovely discount so I ain't moving :D

    Well I left my regular nail tech on Monday because she needs to start respecting her clients, now my nails are all snapping and weak. They're in bits anyway because I've had gels on so long. I mean it's nothing that can't be fixed, it's just going to be more time more money and I'm nervous about getting a full set of forms done with a new person.

    I get shellac but only once every 2-3 months and in between I do them myself :) if I were you get a few reviews or recommendations for other nail technicians :)
