Looks like Sergio does have a goal in him after all :pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:

    Hes no Lewandowski though:eek:

Lewandowski: 5 goals in 9 minutes

Liverpool: 5 goals in 630 minutes... or the last 7 games

Yea but can he do it on a wet cold winters night at Stoke?

I hope he doesn't do it on a cold Autumnal evening in Warsaw

So the Watford striker situation, Ighalo has really taken off despite Deeney being the one people thought would.

Why has that been and do people see it continuing? I haven't actually seen Watford in a live game yet (not sure they have been televised). Who has led the line is it 2 up front or one playing off the other?

I'm heavily considering investing in Ighalo or Deeney because the money you'll save there ahead of a 7.5-8.5 striker could come in seriously useful.

Obviously the goal tally and form suggests Ighalo is the more dangerous of the 2, but I don't want to go on that alone because whoever I sign may be a season keeper so baseline stats and role in the team immediately become more important than form.

Santryred is a Watford fan he recommended ighalo before the season started.

Yeah he did, should I take from that he is playing the more advanced role or was it the .5 difference between them? If I go Benteke to Ighalo I've just freed up 3.4 precious millions.

Won't go into too much depth since it requires a FFS membership, but their stats are pretty similar. Main difference being Ighalo's vastly superior shot accuracy. Deeney is on pens though and rarely gets subbed off

Honestly don't know. I had Deeney at the start have neither now and they aren't on my radar yet.

AllthingsFPL allow you access to all the opta stats free. Not packaged as nicely to make comparisons as FFS members section but still very good for comparing stuff like this.

I have the membership aswell and have seen those, but the sample size is as yet pretty small and doesn't tally up with what happened last season. I haven't seen them play yet and that's what drives my reluctance, hence my looking for feedback from those of you have.

I watched most of their game on Saturday against Newcastle.
Ighalo was playing further forward and looked like a better player (FPL wise anyway - more likely to shoot etc ) than Deeney.

That's the only Watford game I've seen though.

Weren't their goalscoring records pretty similar last season? I think the stat is Ighalo has something like 20 league goals in 24 matches. I've only seen the whole Man City matches and occasional glances during the Swansea

On MOTD last Saturday it looked as if Ighalo was the focus of the attack, almost always the most advanced player, Deeney was a little deeper and wider. Both seemed a bit unlucky not to have even more points although Ighalo's first goal was a mi**** that won't appear on any highlight reels. He'd be my choice also.

Haven't got time for a big message but I would go with Ighalo myself. However, I assume that Ighalo is now close to 5.5m and there isn't much in it.

They play 4-2-3-1 with Deeney as the centre forward and Ighalo just off as one of the three players just behind. The two are constantly interchanging though and Watford get deep early when defending. Generally whichever of the two is closest to the Watford goal will go back and do the defensive work for that series. Watford have been quick counter attackers this season and they really do look impressive. They have received no praise from anywhere despite being on the same points tally as palace and Swansea amongst others.

Deeney's the man for winning any long balls and flicking headers on. He's been superb even without scoring and there's no way he'll be dropped. He's set up three of Ighalo's goals as far as I recall. The whole club wants him to score and I fancy him to bag one Sunday, the goal is coming and he was unlucky away to Newcastle. They're playing live on Sky this Sunday at 4pm at home to Palace.

How come Ighalo if Deeney is playing further forward?

From what I've seen, they interchange quite a bit. They also seem to have a great understanding of each others style of play. If Denney is the more advanced and a ball is played forward he's great at picking out Ighalo with a knock on, or by holding it up and playing him through.

That was super obvious, I don't know why they can't change points later. At least it was only 2 undeserved points since Hazard would have still tied for two baps with the assist

I'm so annoyed. Kept faith with Ighalo all season and took him out just before his 22 point haul in 2 games. The upside is I brought in Wilson who I think will produce. Had Rooney, replaced him with Martial instead of Ighalo. Hopefully it works out.

An own goal in 2 consecutive games for Chambers. Can't remember ever seeing that before.

Did that not happen with Carragher or Skrtel at some stage?

Carragher got two in one game I think! Hasn't he scored three goals for Man Utd?

    Edit yep he did!

Mane is really starting to hit the form i expected of him i think after the weekend he will come in for Depay.

Also from week 11-18 Everton have lovely fixtures i will be keeping an eye on Barkley.

I have Barkley already. He is going to get better and better. Really looks like the whole team is being built around him. Great price at the moment.

With Lovren looking like missing a few weeks at least i wonder is there any chance of Gomez getting back in. I know Can, Skrtel and Sahko were the back three v Norwich. Any Liverpool fans? Are those three pretty nailed for now?

If Gomez had any chance if getting another few games would hold tight. Otherwise my defence is pretty dodgy this week with all of my other 4 away!

It kind of looks like Rodgers will play Moreno against weaker teams and maybe Gomez for stronger teams. Then again its Rodgers so who knows what he is thinking. I have Gomez and will be looking to get him out.

Can could be pushed into midfield in place of Lucas and Gomez could play as a centre back. Gomez is a natural centre back so there is a chance this could happen. Can would give the midfield some badly needed creativity too.

Personally I'd like to see this happen but I'm not sure Rodgers will make more changes given the pressure he's under so I'd say it's unlikely.

With all this Martial hype I've brought in and captained Rooney.
