My parents have had a telephone line since April 1968 - over 45 years!! They thought a technical issue was affecting the line when they called to discover it was cut off for 6 cents!!
They subsequently went back down to the post office and paid the 6 cent - it then took EIR 3 weeks to reconnect them!
They are with UPC now - Eircom can change its name to whatever the hell it wants -it's customer care are obnoxious condescending twats!

Well done on getting rid! More should do the same and realise we don't need a landline any longer. There are many options to better broadband and you can use VOIP for phonecalls if you really need a "landline"
