Not really, people have to settle.

But still need to find them sexy - don't know how a man could rise to the occasion otherwise.

It's not that hard to be honest, pardon the pun.

Tubridy is no more or less good looking than any number of regular men on the street.
Actually I am surprised sometimes by how many stunning young women are in relationships with very average looking men.

Ryan Tubridy is natural looking, unlike some sports people who have unnatural looking bodies from maybe illegal means, As Neil Francis said, you know to look at them.

    What Tubridy thinks of boards

Tubridy has expressed his disdain for "anonymous cowards on the internet", those who operate "under the shadowy cover of names like Catman or Twenty Rothmans or whatever"

When you are middle aged with a bald head and a broad hairy belly and saggy man boobs, all the middle aged women your age will have bodies like Susan Boyle regardless of how good looking they were in their teens, twenties and thirties. Even if you keep in shape and work out into middle age and older the women you will be still no be attractive to younger women and you will have to settle for Susan Boyle. You might visit prostitutes but they will be only taking your money. For love and companionship you will have to settle for Susan Boyle. Think about that. :)

The voice of experience, folks. He's obviously been around the block. Let's hand it up for Mr. 1989! :pac:

Remember when he passed judgement on Gordon Ramsay's looks and Ramsay, without skipping a beat, destroyed him and almost made him cry over his dumbo ears?

Don't remember that but just after looking it up there. Here's what Tubs had to say about it the matter

"I thought he was a bit, em, British for my liking. I won’t be buying the books [Ramsay was promoting]. In fact, I didn't take the free one

    Not to happy :pac:

    Here is the Tubridy/Ramsay clip:

Tubridy asked Ramsay if he had plastic surgery work done. I suppose that would be rude under ordinary circumstances but I'm not sure what's acceptable in a tv interview. I suppose it depends on what had been mutually agreed beforehand.

In any case, Ramsay started some kind of jokey response about Tubridy's ears, which fell flat due to Tubridy's lack of response and the fact that Tubridy's ears don't really look anything extraordinary (to my mind, at least).

It all looked more cringey than anything else.

Any interviewer worth their salt would've just ran with that but of course Pat "Seinfield" Kenny and Ryan Tubridy are socially awkward planks.

Unbelievable that these 2 presented RTE's flagship chat show for so long. You need charisma to host a chat show, more charisma in a dogs puke than these 2 combined.

here it is. EDIT: I see it was already posted.

Can't see how anyone would find him attractive, looks like a weasel or meerkat or something, flimsy & awkward looking.

Hand on my heart not even the slightest little itty bitty bit of attraction towards him

Why limit the ceist to women?

I think you may be overstating the case on a couple of levels but regardless, biology 101 no?

It's funny how men and women are different.

I mean there are women out there that would find Ryan Tubridy attractive yet you wouldn't find a single man who would ride Susan Boyle or Maggie Thatcher.

Thats a stupid comparison. Susan boyle is known for her 'odd' appearance, even the judges laughed at her when she first came on stage. And maggie thatcher was almost 90 years old. What a strange pair to choose. What women do you know for instance that'd ride steve busecmi or peter vaughan?
Turbidy is only 42, and takes care of his appearance. He's funny and wealthy. Of course there'll be some women who find him attractive .

I don't think he's funny. I think he is dorky, nerdy, awkward and obsequious.

I was about to pull you up when you said Johnny Vaughan but then I realized it was Peter Vaughan you were on about.

On the same day as her graduation with a Phd he got his PR company to issue a press release telling the media that their relationship was over. They had actually split up two weeks previous to that but Tubridy decided to wait for her day in the limelight so he could throw a spanner in the works. It was a nasty thing to do IMO, only a wanker would hold that level of vindictiveness about a break-up.

Feck me I never knew that, the spineless little bítch is a right vindictive kunt. Another reason why I'm glad that I never waste a second of time watching on him on TV, or listening to him on the radio.

Men age better than women imo.

Are you a man? Lots of men seem to think this. Ive never found a man in his 50's or older attractive. And men over 40 (excluding celebs) who Ive thought were hot have been few and far between. Im almost 20 and I don't know of even one girl my age who'd even consider having a one night stand with a guy over 40. I don't think women over say 45 are generally very attractive but I don't think the men are any better tbh.

I actually know of a young woman who is only 23 and she is going out with a bloke in his mid/late forties.

Imagine that spindly thing on top of you lashing one in, get shudders at the thought, like when that geeky actor who played Screech released a sex tape.

They probably think it because so many women say it. I hear it said by women far more than men. I actually don't think I have ever heard the opposite being said.

I do funny enough. I "met" him on two occasions years back and on both he was in the smoking section having a ciggie. He seemed OK TBH, a touch of that "I'm slightly smugly wonderful", but that I have found is common, even near ubiquitous among your performer caste. Their need to perform itself seems to come from a conflict between their inner insecure need to please and their fear of being "found out as losers" kinda thing. Actors and actresses are the worse for this IME. The best tend to be ironically shy children in many ways. If they gain success, that what looks like smugness is just another mask IMHO. He was not impolite mind you. Quite the opposite, which stood to him. He did make an effort there.
Feck me I never knew that, the spineless little bítch is a right vindictive kunt.
Yea that kinda thing is well out of order. Again I'd fall back on the "performers tend to have childish qualities" and you couldn't get more effin childish than pulling that shíte.

+1 IMHO I think it's like bald men who compare themselves to Sean Connery or yer man of Star Trek if they're of a more nerdy nature. It's an ego hug, something to reassure them. And that's cool too, so long as they don't act out on that reassurance.

Down the years I've known only four young women who regularly went for much older men as a "thing". Like 19 going for 45 year olds type thing. And they really stood out. All four were cool people, but all four had major daddy issues, like textbook Electra complexes ahoy. Oh and the guys they went for weren't always rich sugar daddy types either, their age gap seemed to be the main draw(and mon dieu it wasn't their looks either) which surprised the rest of us at the time. The guys were nearly always real manipulative pricks though.

There were more "oul lad tourists" in the mix mind you. I mean the women who at 25 who met a guy of 40 or whatever that revved their engines on a night out and decided to try it out, but it was a one off thing, a curiosity, with no consideration of anything longterm to follow.

I reckon ten years as a gap is the average cutoff point, but five years is preferable and fifteen years the outside if there's genuine compatibility going on. Bigger gaps do happen and some are happy ones too, but they'd be the real exception. But hey if it works for such folks then fair enough.

Speaking of a ten year gap, I would say that as a VERY general rule and outside of outliers, men have about a ten year advantage on women, but that's about it. Their peak attraction is about ten years delayed too. A 30/35/40 year old guy has more options on the "dating market" than a 30/35/40 year old woman. Again as a very general rule. After 40 that drops off and after 50 it really drops off. Then men are around the same as the 40 year old woman.

That's in general mind you. It SO depends on the individual men and women involved. Especially mentally. EG an ex girlfriend of mine when we were both 20, was 20 going on 50 mentally. Had her whole life and choice mapped against her age. A guy mate I had at school, who was the coolest and most plugged in bloke at 16 was a near grandfather by the time he was 25.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.
