I see the guy who got the highest points so far this GW (95), using his bench booster chip, has 5.1m in the bank, has triple city defence, and has William and Matic in MF - he's up to 10k in the world. mind boggling at times.:confused:

Meh, I wouldn't worry. Even though it's been a mad start. The big players will come good in the end.

Do you remember a few years back when the dead team was top after GW7? That said it all really! I saved their ID they ended up finished just inside the top 2m. It was a pretty impressive run but it comes to an end at some point.

Well, see that's the thing really isn't it? I say normality should resume but I don't even really know what normality is other than Hazard, Aguero and Sanchez being very reliable. If they don't become great choices again then it's just going to become a matter of who can make the 'correct choices' with all that extra money we save on not having those players instead.

    just back from old Trafford
35 from 9 including 7 from Nyom who I know nothing about !
    mahrez and sahko to go
no idea if its good or bad and I don't care tonight :D

All we can do is pick the best value players. Some players emerge every season whose points expectation clearly exceeds their price (EG Kane last year) what we need to pick up on is who is exceeding their value and who is scoring over expectation. If we keep on doing the right thing it will come good.....Hopefully!

We all should have been captaining Hoolahan

Squawka Football ‏@Squawka 50s51 seconds ago
Most Premier League assists this season:

    W. Hoolahan (4)
    D. Silva (4)
    M. Albrighton (3)
    Y. Touré (3)
    R. Barkley (3)

Im very interested in Barkley, he is holding his form well.

Nyom Nyom Nyom mmmm points. Thats about all you need to know right!

EDIT: 35 is pretty much the average so treading water this week but 2 to go probably puts you a little ahead of the crowd.

Exactly. Big difference this year aswell are the boosts alot are using them early and getting lucky. I'd imagine most regular/serious players will wait until double gameweeks for let's say tc and maybe bench boost

47 points with Gomez to sub in with 1 and Payet still to play. Gives me a GW ranking of 110k, easily my best of the year.

Wes Hoolahan the unlikely hero of my team.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yeh it has a huge effect early on as the slap and dash players looking to go high early are able to unload even more so than normal. The OR is looking very lopsided due to the amount of people who have fired off 4 chips and are naturally doing a lot better than the mean. They're playing a good 4GW game but a very bad 38GW game.

Nice score! 110k is an awesome GW rank. If I have 8-10 of those this year I'll be delighted!

I don't think there has been any season like this tbf.

In 5 GW's, i've had 2 assists and 4 goals (2 of which are from Defoe), I understand variance, and get that Costa might go a few games without scoring, but when you have costa, Aguero, fab, hazard, Sanchez all blanking constantly, has that ever happened before?

Well, 3 of those 5 are from the same team, who look terrible at present.

It may be a little extreme but its the same every season. Its the natural pattern of any high variance position people ride that SD wave but it will only take you so far. If you like variance Isil is sitting with Sauce, JayP & Ike at 2/4 at 3 tables right now!

I'm on 230 at 151k. You're not far away. There's a lot of zombies and casual players still ahead of you (and me). Things will go back to normal soon, it's just taking longer this season due to the weird start.

The big hitters Sanchez, Aguero, Hazard, etc will find form eventually.

After the opening few weeks I've had I deserved a good score :(

Will probably drop a bit unless Payet has a good game.

Jaysus 30 is a lot at this stage. To be honest I don't really care about rank so much any more I just want to enjoy the game a bit more. I've been a rank zombie for the last few years and its more fun when its not something you worry about so much. I say that now knowing I expect the game to bring points to us sensible players maybe if I have a 7 fig rank in January I won't feel the same!

Know the feeling. This is my first respectable GW and I am at 414k for the week. I have got used to being a slow starter though so its ok! GW7 last year I had a 7 fig rank so am ahead of schedule this year!

Your less than 30pts. behind me after my first red arrow of the season.
Lost 100k but just inside top 200k.
Vardy Mahrez and Alderwereld will reverse that.
