Hi We have a Vokera Mynute 35he installed with a manual timer (very small)
and an old thermostat in the hall. Which also controls/switches from heating to Hot water only.

Can I replace this thermostat with programmable one ? I think there are 3 wires behind the thermostat the switched live Switched live turns off heating and hot water only via motorised valve.

thanks for any help or advice.

Yes you can add a programmer to control the heating but you are better off dividing it up into 3 or more zones. Hot Water, Upstairs heating, Down stairs heating. + on and off override.

Thanks for that we also have solar tubes which has another motor valve which circulates the water as a heat dump (no rad in attic)

how can we zone upstairs and down. Would another pump be needed ?

    thanks

Btw who installed the solar tubes?! Was it done by contractor used by previous owner or you?

Its odd to have all these and them not connected/joined by common thermostats/motor valves onto your central heating etc.

Just a suggestion to contact the solar company, why didn't they plumb it all in properly?!

Don't bite my head off please I'm just asking straight forward questions. I don't get how these works are done on people's houses and its not integrated with the existing plumbing etc.
