Hoover Washing Mach, No Water Problem.

Can anyone help me with my Hoover washing machine, it doesn't fill with water. It's not a problem with the source. So I took the back off the machine and replaced the Solenoid Valve, thinking that was the problem, but it still didn't work. So I'm guessing it's the electrics.

Everything else works, I know this because I am able to do a wash if I put the water in manually. But then it stops for the rinse. But is I put more water in it continues. It spins without a problem.

    So has anyone any ideas?

Sounds like a Pressure Switch problem. If the diaphragm in the switch is stuck closed, then the machine will think it is full of water, hence none is flowing in.
The pressure switch can be tested quite easily by removing it and checking that the contacts are opening and closing by blowing in to the chamber.

Thanks for that. I'll have a look and see!
