I'm dreading it. The long, dark and cold evenings are almost upon us.

Don't get me started on the two month long run up to Christmas.

    Roll on Summer 2016..

I like it. It gives meaning to the word 'cozy'.

I'm looking forward to watching people slip on ice, to be honest.

I love the winter, nice and cool and a lovely fresh breeze, whether it be snow I don't mind, can't wait.

The cold never bothered me. While I wear tee-shirts most folk are crackling at the knees from the cold. Great fresh weather, get out there and enjoy it soon. Plenty of snow this year would be a bonus.

Hopefully it will freeze our borders.

I like Winter and generally look for forward to it. Less so this year due to the really poor Summer.

At this time of year, I actually like the idea of the onset of winter. Long evenings are great for getting work done outside and going places etc, but it's also nice to shut up shop at 5/6pm and just go into hiberation mode. Of course, I'l be well sick of that by March and then we come full circle again. It's nice to have this change though, would hate the same thing all year round.

Can't - I don't live in Canada. I live in Ireland, where winter is mostly damp or downright saturated, windy rather than a fresh breeze, and sometimes even a bit mild, but damp, and rarely fresh.

Dreading it. The darkness - from 4.45pm until 8.15am - is the worst part. Going into work in the cold and wet and dark - fun. :(

Crisp frosty sunny days ARE lovely, but they're few and far between.

And unless you're a child or don't drive, snow in Ireland for more than two days is a nuisance - we don't have the infrastructure for it.

People think I'd like the winter because I'm so pale, and yeah I'm not a fan of it being too warm, but I still prefer the summer. Favourite season of all is autumn though.

Going into work is great in the snow driving. The heat is on and you have good scenery of the lovely snow driving along in comfort. It's an amazing feeling. The summer in Ireland is crap, the humidity is very high and sweating all the time while the air is stale and hard to breath. The winter any day thank you.

We don't have the infrastructure for anything in this country so that's irrelevant.

Yeah driving in snowy weather is lovely once you're actually able to drive rather than be skeeting all over the place and fearing for your life.

Apparently depression is common in the winter, so I feel empathy with those who might feel lost and hopeless in the darker, colder nights.

I'm fairly neutral towards the season myself, Christmas is always something to look forward to I suppose.

Can't beat leaving work and having a warm Glühwein or Feuerzangenbowle before heading home. Or a few nice peaty single malts in the evening. I must put in my order for a Lagavulin this week.

Winter is shíte, freezing cold, dark mornings and evenings, heavy rain and if we're really unlucky a load of snow that makes life a disaster in this country!

Just driving through a good accumulation of snow is like living in a fantasy world, while in the background 'Funk Republic-Radio' is playing some sweet tunes.

I like properly crispy winters. Winter in Ireland is cold and damp. Not a fan at all.

We have plenty of infrastructure in this country. We don't have it for snow though, because we don't need it - happens too rarely to justify it.

I love Christmas though and the hot port and mulled wine and furry coats and boots, and I love those dry, crisp days - but they're very very rare unfortunately. It's just waterproof jackets and waterproof shoes most of the time too rather than the nice winter woollies.

I'm not looking forward to the invasion of the wildlings, I mean travellers, at Christmas.

Shamrock 465 turn left heading 260 on a heading to shannon as you cannot land in Dublin as we have a slight dusting of snow on the runway.

If it even sprinkles a tiny bit of snow in this country, the whole country stalls to a halt.

I love a winter storm. Being down at the coast on a stormy day is exhilarating.

If it snows this year I'll break into the council yard and take the batteries from the brand new snow shovels they bought off Denis O'Brien a couple years ago for 5 times the going rate.

It's always funny to hear the complainers who so desperately want the humdrum of every-day working life to continue as normal when the the Lord is after sprinkling the whole country with powder sugar. Really I pity these miserable creatures for not being able to enjoy it but at the same time they're amusing to listen to

Love going home from work, throwing on runners and heading out for a run - in the rain and cold!
Love lighting open fire - and electric blanket.
    Love my winter wardrobe.
Love getting into a really hot shower on a cold morning.
Love walking the beach when it's wet and the waves are high.
    Yep, am a winter person
