I'm alright just as long as my wife doesn't see this post or the bank statement!

Today I have ordered from Republic of vape:

    Kanger subox mini kit
Five pawns, castle long, queen something and gambit
    Five coils for evod 2
And two batteries for the kanger

    From Irish vape:
    Nitecore d2 digi charger
Spare kanger subtank mini as I thought I might want two juices on the go at once.

Btw the irishvape code wasn't working.

Oh yes and manabush pow wow sauce and nokomis from Republic of vape.

Probably too late but the 10% discount code for irishvape is fb10%off
This only works for items that are not on sale.

Yes it is too late but thanks I'll use it if I buy from them again.

imho, Gambit is the nicest juice I've ever tasted. Each to their own though.

I'm looking forward to trying it as I've been very impressed with the castle long.

Do you make your own juice Fred? If so....

    Gambit clone

    All TFA flavourings.

    13.5% apple pie
    5% pie crust
    4% French vanilla deluxe
    3% whipped cream
    2% caramel

I haven't got the PG/VG ratio but Im sure that's easily obtained...

    Contains Acetoin and Acetylpropionyl unfortunately.

Sorry being driving myself nutty watching out for this stuff while searching for vape safe concentrates.

So if I make 100ml, I just convert those percentages to mls and the rest is vg/pg/nic?

    Sounds very easy, thanks.

Download an app to do the percentages for you.....Because the concentrates are PG based they effect the PG/VG ratio.

I use the Planet of the Vapes app on the Play Store (its free as well)

    Update:

All my bits and pieces arrived today from Republic of vape and Irish vape.

I am delighted with the kanger subox mini kit, not so sure about the queenside from five pawns but I mistakenly put it in the tank with 0.5 ohm atomiser and I'm not sure if I like sub ohming just yet.

A special commendation for Republic of vape as they were absolutely superb in delaying with my queries before placing an order and included a lovely selection of goodies with my €200+ order I will definitely be using them again and I think they're opening a shop as well.

This post was in no way sponsored by Republic of vape and I have no affiliation with them whatsoever just great service and a delight to deal with in this day and age.

Not to freak you out but I wouldn't touch any of the Five Pawns range personally. the vendor in question Cloud 9 are excellent and I genuinely believe their side of this story.....

Never mind, wish someone had warned me sooner though after buying four bottles!

I only saw them mentioned somewhere yesterday and your post reminded me of the above situation. Ive never actually heard what happened in the end and who was proved right or wrong.

Just had a look at the test results on their own website from July States the acetyl something or other for gambit is 116 or something but I don't know what that means.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 445 ✭✭8mm

For me the amount of Acetyl Propionyl in the Five Pawns juice is unacceptably high. I would look into returning those 4 bottles you have as long as they are unopened and sealed. That whole range has been withdrawn from sale and I don't know but I think vendors are picking up cheap "premium" stock and selling it on to unaware punters.

I always just avoid vanilla/dessert flavours. Safer that way, its hard to know for sure what is in juice.

I wouldn't particularly like those flavours anyway so its easy to avoid them.

Yes all opened for a sniff, I hope you feel really rotten lol never mind it's only money I'd rather be careful and lose a few quid than use the stuff and do my self damage so thanks for the heads up.

Im new to vaping and after reading the last pages of this thread, think im gonna have to be careful of what liquids i decide to go with.

What are some of the trustworthy venders that have no dodgy chemicals in their liquids ?. Anyone recommend some brands with 100% VG and organic flavors ?

Is that code still good ?, was about to order a "Eleaf iStick with Aspire Nautilus Mini Kit" from amazon, but it'd be cheaper from Irishvape if that codes working.

I think that code is good, you could also look at bestshop.eu, based in Galway and very good prices there. Use code irishvape for 10 per cent discount. They also do a 100 per cent vg juice range called The Cloud Company which is very good albeit a little pricy.

+1 for the best shop, got the exact set up from them, great service

Edit: they also have a discount code 10% listed in a thread here somewhere!

Cheers. The bestshop are out of stock on the eleaf 20w, and dont got the "Eleaf iStick with Aspire Nautilus Mini Kit" either. So ill probably go with irishvape since they have it in currently, only they dont have any "the cloud company" stuff in stock. Any other reputable 100% organic non PG companys out there ?

Edit, or any brands to stay clear of ?

If I was you I'd get the istick 30w instead of the 20w for a couple of reasons, firstly there were power output issues with the 20w which is a problem, second the build quality of the 30w is better, there were issues with the 510 connection on the 20w and the 30w is probably more versatile as you progress on your vaping journey.
The istick has been around a while now and another similar device to consider is the Innokin Coolfire 4,very solid and well priced piece of kit.
I'm not sure how a high vg juice will perform in a Nautilus, high vg means a thick juice and I'm not sure if the coils in the Nautilus will handle that. Maybe someone else can give you more detail on the type of coil to use.

The GA Air is another tank worth looking at.

For higher VG juices I think the stock coils are better than the Mini Nautilus BVC coils. Its also cheap as chips @€;10.

Well i placed my order not long after my post here last night with 1 to 2 day delivery option :o (i want to get off the tobacco soon as possible)

I got a "order complete" earlier from IrishVape. To anyone who has ordered from them in the past, what does order complete mean ?. shipped, not shipped yet ? (its with fastway courier)
I was sent no tracking num so dont know if its complete, as in delivered to one of my neighbors or not.

Really hope theres no output issues with the istick though, i seen it mentioned in a youtube review yesterday too. Will see how well it handles VG juice, im also aware it mightn't be the best for the nautilus, but thought i'd give it a try and see if its usable for me.

Went with this stuff from Velvet Cloud.
    http://irishvape.com/product/velvet-cloud-blue-beard-tobacco/?v=d2cb7bbc0d23

I like how they state, "We DO NOT use: Propylene Glycol, Diacetyl, Food Coloring, Artificial Sweeteners, or anything else weird of any sort…" :)

And cheers Bill, the discount code worked fine too.

Your order should be with you tomorrow so, good luck with it and you have a good setup there to start off with. Any questions ask and there's lots here willing and able to provide all the information you'll ever need.

My Nautilus mini and istick 20w has been working perfectly since January, great setup and combo. For me the coils have been working fine with higher vg liquids, even with Ripe Vapes coconut thai which is 100% vg with almost no dilution, very thick & gloopy stuff.

The power output is stronger compared to the istick 30w at the same wattage but i have never had a problem with it, I have even had the 1.6ohm Nautilus coils as high as 17-18w with a 50/50 liquid with no issues, just a little warm for me.My preferred wattage was between 10-14 watts depending on the liquid.

When you are attaching and removing the tank go easy and slow and never over tighten, when the tank stops screwing just stop there and maybe give it a very light tighten (very light). Two of my friends have stripped the 510 connection withing 4 months on there istick 20w by being to rough when attaching tanks, my 20w is still going after 9 months with no sign of damage to the 510 connection by being careful with it.

The Nauty istick combo is great and is what got me off the cigarettes, my chest and lungs feels 10x better.

Have fun with your new setup and good luck quitting the smokes :)

Thanks for all the advice people, happy vaping!
