    Hi,

I'm just wondering where I stand in regards to a covered communal down pipe in a row of terraced housing.

Our neighbour refuses to remove a cover he has on the communal down pipe. He also has mesh on his gutters that are full of moss. If it rains any way heavily our gutters overflow because the rain has nowhere else to go.

When I asked him to remove it he said it's not his fault and that our gutters are bent. The gutter doesn't look bent from the ground and if it is it's probably because of trying to hold all the water.

I don't want to fall out with him over this.

I'm just wondering if I could contact the council about it?

    Please advise

Why not install a downpipe on your own section and block each end at your bounds.

Problem solved for you and let everybody else worry about themselves.
