Shurre that would hardly keep a bumblebee in smooshed blackberries.

Well there's a reference that will be lost on everyone. Hahaha

I think it works out at about €170, better than what I had on welfare and it's a means to something. I'm happy with it, it gives a bit of life back.

    And cars. <3

Sacrilege! Sugar and caffeine is the whole point of red bull! Or get a 500 ml bottle of boost. Used to get that Friday evening with a packet of Hamlet's for the way home, all the legal buzz. :p

What's with everyone closing their account. I would just not log on for a while, which I done in the past and just restart from where I left off.

Closing your account increases your street cred.

Finally getting paid for my work so I may be able to save for car parts. :pac:
That lovely €195 before tax apprentice wage...

I suppose first year is the toughest and one you start moving on through the time the pay goes up and as a qualified mechanic the money should be good and you can kind of earn as much as you want depending on how much work you want to do. 195 euro sounds bad but when you think about no college fees and being paid to get a qualification it always seems like a bargain.

Im starting into my last week of placement now such a pain that college is back so bloody early as they would of kept me for months more as it is I'm working a lot of days over the last two weeks as we are so busy. Have to say it was one of the best summers I've ever had some hard points but the experience I've gained is unreal. I also got really good wages so couldn't of asked for more.

Anyway best of luck with the apprenticeship it's nice to hear of someone going out and chasing the job they wanted and getting it. You'll soon be our resident mechanic who we can all through questions at.

Saw a Kadjar during the week, never knew they existed until I saw it, would happily take one over a Qashqai:

Anyone would be bonkers to get one over a Qashqai given they're the same price.

Well seeing as they're modelled almost directly after a J10 that'd be a fairly awful decision. :pac:

The J11 is actually a really nice car to drive, the SVE with nav, birds eye, parking assist, reverse cameras, heated and cooled electric leather seats, etc. is a serious competitor.
Working with them has really changed my mind about them.

    And Fil has an S14.

Nobody outside of Nissan dealerships knows what a J11/J12 is :D

    You won't see a J12 for a few years anyway, that's all I'll say to that. :p

i have lots of long suffering mayo friends over here and id be delighted for them to get put out of their years of torture :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,845 ✭✭✭Noccy_Mondy

Ya, it'd mean so much to so many to finally win it.

Not sure but I think we're bringing the bus that I polished up (posted a few weeks back in the detailing thread). Hasn't been used since so is still spotless.

Wheels on that transit were resprayed during the week, looks like a good job. Takes years off it. Almost would pass for new now.

Shaken but everyone is grand thankfully. I was told the drivers seat just lifted straight out of the car afterward. She learnt a valuable lesson here. Only pull into the hard shoulder of a motorway if there is an emergency. Could have been much worse.

Glad she is okay, looks like a real wreck.

I think the RSA should use this on their ads. Too many people stopping in the hard shoulder / emergency lane for no good reasons.

Even the guards who are supposed to be educated on risk stop speeders on it, and the reason is down to laziness(bringing you to a safe place at the next junction costs them more time)

    But fingers crossed. :D

Someone don't like Mayo in NSW methinks... ;)
