We've an old Nissan which isn't economical to repair to pass it's NCT. We're probably going to pick up a new car this weekend in Dublin but won't be taking that car that far as we're told it's unsafe to dive. What's the smartest thing to do in this scenario? Is it worth anything? Would a used dealer usually accept a car in any condition and offer money off?

If you have the patience and space then breaking it for parts yourself is the best way to make the most money from it. If you just want shot of it then ring around the various local scrap dealers for a price but don't expect to get more than €150/200 for it as scrap.
