    Nothing to stop you charging VAT - as long as you forward it to the Revenue.

    I'm sure if you are collecting VAT that you need to give it to Revenue, whether it was "applicable" or not.

    If the dog training, for example, is zero-VAT rated, but the bold Henry charges VAT on it, the Revenue want it.     Anyway, the principle is - charge VAT if you like, but don't pass it on and the Revenuers will be after you - they really don't like that.

    Joe has opened the hatchet cupboard, and is standing looking at the gleaming array within it, wondering what one to select...
    A nice little 15" 8oz shorty, made of finest Munich steel, hand ground by a master craftsman.

    But no; he regretfully puts that back and picks up his Old Faithful - the blunderbuss, veteran of many a busy afternoon shooting session. The only problem with the blunderbuss is its tendency to go off half-cocked, and take the foot off the person wielding it.
