So Currently We use the immersion to heat the water for the showers normally takes about 30 mins every shower, Have a boost button so the immersion never left on!, During winter the heating comes on and heats the immersion at the same time... My question is... we put the central heating (GAS) on during the summer for about 60 mins a day every day for showers. Anyone in this situation gone electric?
(Three adults in the house and two kids so normally 4 times the boost button is hit each day on the immersion for hot water)

A triton t90z will be much cheaper to run than your present set up. Instant electric showers use less electricity per litre of water than the immersion & the cost per litre is cheaper than the gas. Point to remember is an electric shower puts out around 3 litres per minute in winter and 5 litres max in the summer. If you have a power shower at the moment pumping out 10 to 20 litres you may be disappointed with the pressure /flow rate
