Could at least form an opinion :P

The whole thing is ridiculous, Spanish police do not like to be caught out, this new 'citizen security law' is simply a way to hush hush crimes committed by the police.

Its quite a sinister turn the new gagging laws considering Spain was a fascist dictorship until quite recently.

Interweb needs to remain a space in which government has absolutely no control whatsoever over dissent.

OP, this forum requires you to actually start a discussion, not just to news dump. Please edit your opening post to add your opinion on the story.

It is also good manners to add a paragraph from the news story to the opening post.

You have to have physical fitness to be a police officer so I Presume so.

So if you developed a disability you'd be sacked?
    That's a bit harsh.

Also do all physical and mental disabilities preclude you from recruitment?
My spanish is very rusty so I can't check these things up.

I presume like most forces you would be given a desk job. There are criteria to meet in any force throughout the world.

Expect it across Europe soon. If it's legal in one EU member, it's legal in them all.

How are you going to stop crimes inside a car ?

How are you going to stop crimes inside a car ?

So all disabled people are incapable of getting out of a car.
What is the point of them getting into it then. Or going some place.

I think you're working off a very narrow definition of disabled.

Personally I think this is wrong on many levels.

Then again the spanish cops and british cops are the only cops worse than the ones we have in this country

    #1. American
    #2. Irish

English police are gentlemen in my experience. Very friendly.
How are you going to stop crimes inside a car ?

Well you see, if you witness a crime, you stop the car, and get out of it.

Or, someone might call you to that crime first, then you do the above.

That is completely untrue. It's not an EU directive it's a local law.

I know a guard who's in a wheelchair. Stationed in Dublin castle, was knocked off his bike while at work. They got him a trike, which he was able to get up on himself. He used to be an instructor for the bikes there after.

That should be brought before the ECHR.
