    Base specs:

    4G

Are you sure about that? Argos site states:
    Wi-Fi and 3G network capability.

    Full specs are at http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g3-6294.php

Has to be 4G yeah? No point in asking someone in Argos. Looks as good a price around for the spec from a decent retailer.

I'm posting this on a G3 through Meteors 4G network.

Or is it this model? http://www.lg.com/hk_en/mobile-phones/lg-D690

Doesn't look to have 4G there.

    Argos site states:

Often an unreliable barometer when it comes to tech specs IME.

    Worth double checking elsewhere.

Pretty sure it is this one,

Looks like a great deal, but I think I will struggle on with my HTC One X that I got on here 2 years and 5 months ago for a little while longer!

The EAN (International Article Number) for the product is 8806084956286. Google this and you will see that it is the LG D855 4G model. Also listed on expansys http://www.expansys.ie/lg-g3-metallic-black-262241/

Yep, and spec wise it's not a million miles behind the lg g4,

the main problem will be android updates, they seem to be supporting the android M (5.2) update when it comes, but no notion beyond that.

Assuming Argos have listed the correct EAN. :)

I had this last year, when it came out, and it had an overheating issue, which is actually well documented online by now.
Other than that it's a great phone, but I couldn't take it any longer.

Have had 3 of them over the last year and no problems with any. Also Argos would obviously sell the European model and not the Asian so 4G will defo work.

Curious, why did you have 3?

I checked with someone in Argos, the box and EAN are definitely the D855 version of the LG G3 - that means 4G connection.

I switched to this from the first HTC one (the m7) a few mths back and it's pretty good. The battery life last me about a day, and I'd be a pretty heavy user, and of course the battery is removable if you need to do a swapsie. The screen resolution is QHD, so amazing, I'll never go back to a lowly 1080 phone.

The only disadvantages I came across was the default LG Android install, it can get pretty hot when browsing on 4g a lot. Easily fixed by tweaking or installing one of the ROMs over on XDAdev.
The only other negative was, coming from the HTC One, the sound on the LG is horrid, no stereo speakers and sound quality seems off even on headphones. (I'd probably go back to another HTC one if they make one with a better display).

Overall, for this tiny amount the LG is a pretty damn good find :)
