On JSA but have offer of irregular work from UK. What do I need to do?

I'm currently in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance, but have recently been offered the possibility of semi-regular consultancy work. This work may be for one or two days each week(no more than that), but may also be less than that. To complicate matters, the company offering this work is based in the UK, not here in Ireland. The work is quite well paid and could even be roughly €200 per day, but as I say, it's very irregular. There may be no work in a given month, or there could be up to 8 days in a month. It all depends on the work that company has available at the time. I want to be above board and declare any income if I accept this work, but I'm presuming this will be a nightmare in terms of my JSA. I don't really want to register as self-employed, as the work simply won't be of the volume to keep me going without the JSA, and I don't want to be left high and dry if the work dries up completely.

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions as to what I should do to try to retain my benefit, but also be completely above board and legal. Does anyone have any suggestions?
