Unlocking by code does NOT void the warranty - I have had two phones repaired (both unlocked by eBay codes) without issue.

Two separate sales guys in the VF shop told me that unlocking voids warranty.
As I said earlier, I hope they're ill informed.

Just curious, where did you buy your 2 phones that you had repaired and when?
It might be handy to have a bit of ammo if I ever have to return the phone.

Over the past few years, both from VF. Most recent repair was only a month back.

Anyone recommend a windscreen holder for the car? For video, GPS, Gforces, etc...the more rigid the better, but needs to be in landscape mode.

To anyone who has gotten this on an existing vodafone account:

Did they send out a nano sim with it or did you have to go and source that yourself?

Is it just me or is it out of stock again?

Everyone obviously clicked the 'notify me when in stock' button so bought them all in the past half hour after they got the email.

My phone made three calls last night at 3am, I was working so it was probably in my pocket but it's a bit annoying.

vf p***es me off by getting so little stock, obviously they can see how many are buying it so why not order many and stop blaming "delivery problem"

Yeah it's crazy. The only ever Vodafone-branded product that there's any demand for and they can only keep it in stock for one hour. I got my order in but they ran out of stock five minutes later so now I'm paranoid that they've taken the order but might not have the stock to fulfill it, like has happened to others on this thread.

    Use a different lock screen

So I managed to get an order in. Let's see if it actually comes though. :P

What's the latest story with cases for the device? I've read about the 10 pack being sold individually on adverts.ie and also about the 25 euro one that vodafone do. Any other options?

Am I missing something really obvious in the phone settings? Is it possible at all to set different notification sounds for the various different types of messages that come in? ie a different sound for sms than emails etc. Can only seem to set the one sound for all notifications??

You're not missing anything, AFAIK. Some skins of Android allow for such differentiation, but not this one, which is basically AOSP/"stock" Android.

Each app has its own notification setting to choose the notification tone.

Ah..as I suspected. :( This is the only gripe I have with this phone now, (having sorted the notification light prob out with a factory reset). Somewhat annoying having to check every time the phone makes a sound to see whether it is an incoming sms/email/facebook notification...
