Dont get me wrong, I've no problem with players using the dark arts during a match to win but once it's over, just suck it up and move on.
    Sour lemons are sour.

Agreed. When has hassling a ref after the final whistle ever resulted in anything being changed?

Not arguing any of that but just thought comparing him with Coutinho and others is a bit mental.

I agree but the lad has talent and is relatively young. He is a beast of a lad and has all the attributes to be a very decent all round centre mid. He's made mistakes but always while trying something that could cut a defence in 2. Its not always gona come off but at least he tries. There are so many players now that don't even try. I like him and I think with the right coaching he could be great but don't think he has had that yet.

I was looking at Costa's reaction after he wasn't awarded a penalty and I was actually embarrassed for him. The guy was throwing a wee tantrum whilst on the ground.

To make it worse, it was a super tackle and never a penalty. Kudos Mr. Oliver.

He handled the ball too! Jose laughing at the "bad" decision was worse. I wanted to smack him lol

A poor loser is still a loser but just more ****ing annoying.

My understanding of the quote is that the meaning of the word loser is used differently. You can be on losing teams for sure whilst still being a winner essentially. Chelsea last year lost games in the Premier League so were "losers" on a given day but were still crowned champions for example.

I hate the line of questioning the interviewers after the game pursue with this things, letting managers today keep up their feigned petulance. Far too often they just leave it open ended, as if there's actually some chance the complaints are warranted.

Would much rather he was asked something like; "So Jose, will Diego Costa have some apologizing to do to the referee after seeing that the player got the ball?"

The fee mentioned when he was linked with Liverpool was close to £15m.
Since then, £4.6m has been put as the figure to buy.

Anyone suggested we should have kept/inserted a buyback clause for Shelvey yet?

Could go on to be a true MOTD/youtube clip great.

    Edit: ah it has.

A 2-1/3-1 id be happy with.

Yeah, would love us to batter them. But if it is Lovren/Skrtel in defense I can see us conceding goals.

It'll be interesting to see what team Rodgers puts out. I think we have a lot of exciting players.

An old cliche but every game for this team is a must win. Rodgers career as LFC manager depends on it

Well which is it? Cake and eat it much?

What the f*ck else are you supposed to do with cake?

Why is everyone hating lovren? Some are even verbally attacking him.

I remember him getting a chance at the back end of the reason and he did well. If you can forget mignolets pathetic first half of the season..why not lovren?

Why persist with lovren when we've got Sakho?

Any sort of a win to get going will do the finest considering the selection of away games coming up

Im sure I read that Lovren was the most error prone defender in the league last season.

I've no idea but all I know is during the end of the season he wasn't playing too bad nor deserves this hate. Seems like he's in he firing line of the same lynch mob who are after balotelli

Yeah his best spell coincided with our great end to the season. I still don't get who he was bought to replace.

Highly unlikely his career depends on this game. If we play well but draw that's ok and really it's where we are after 10/15 games that will decide if he stays or goes, not the first game of the season where there will almost certainly be rustiness on both sides.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,623 ✭✭✭googled eyes

Ugh the Metro. Don't remember that being where I got the stat.
Do remember the other article and thinking someone was dropping acid.

If he starts, so be it. But if he does as most of us expect then he should not be starting league games.

Play him in the league and FA cups if needs be

Sorry I didn't mean he'll be sacked if we don't win this one game but he needs the team to start well. A couple of losses early this year will make things very uncomfortable.

For Rodgers every game should be a must win.
