Football's back on the telly and now the feck!ng sun comes out!

I decided to cut the lawn so naturally it started raining. Can't say I'm too disappointed.

Is it next season the Friday night games start? I know Man Utd V Aston Villa is on Friday this season but is that the only one?

I got a dreambox, €65 once off and every game in full HD. Full of movies and box sets too. I'm amazed at how good it is. Currently watching the Spurs build up in HD on NBCSN. Plus don't have to listen to Tyler or Smith or Redknapp etc.

No sugar daddy coming in then.

Tom Werner says FSG are in it for the long haul - and silverware
Tom Werner insists Fenway Sports Group remain determined to bring glory to Anfield as he rubbished rumours that Liverpool's American owners are looking to sell up.

October will be the fifth anniversary of their takeover in the High Court and the Reds chairman says they remain fully committed to getting the club back challenging for the big prizes.

“I could spend a lot of my time swatting down rumours about how we’re supposedly looking to sell Liverpool. The reality is that we're very much focused on taking the club forward,” Werner told the ECHO.

“We are very pleased with the path that we’re on. We have strengthened the club both on and off the pitch.

“People doubted whether we would build a new Main Stand but I think anyone who has been around Anfield over the last week or two will know there’s no doubt that we are doing that. We’re delighted with how that project is progressing.

“We look forward to having more trophies to put in that trophy cabinet at the stadium. That’s what we’re focused on.”

Those Kane's and their silly names. Wonder if he's any relation to Harold.

Summer business has put us in mix for the Champions League - Werner
Tom Werner believes Liverpool's £80million summer spending spree will help ensure they mount a sustained challenge for Champions League qualification.

The Reds chairman admits a top four finish is the club's overriding target as they prepare to kick-off the new Premier League season at Stoke City on Sunday.

Werner is confident Brendan Rodgers' squad is well equipped to last the pace after the arrival of seven new signings.

“It was vital that we made strong signings this summer,” Werner told the ECHO.

“I don’t want to put too much pressure on them because we all know it takes a period of time to settle in at a new club but I think that each one of them has enormous talent. They’ll all make a big contribution this season.

“A Champions League spot is always the target. There are a lot of strong clubs but I do believe we’ll be in the mix. I read an interview with Jose Mourinho, who said he believes we’ll be in the mix.

“I know that Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all strengthened their squads too but that doesn’t intimidate us.

“It’s certainly very competitive but I regard us as being part of the competition. We are confident that we have the talent and the strategy to deliver.”

That would be an odd one to suggest. Either you know you need a player for a position and will buy someone or is he talking youth players? Unless its Masch and Suarez for the season :pac:

Sahin, Cissokho, Moses & Manquillo really show how good we are at getting players in on loan.

Early days but nothing to fear from this United team. Extremely workman like performance from them so far. It would be amazing if they went with this Romero chap in goal for the season, looks doggy with the ball at his feet. Them losing De Gea would be massive for us, he was winning games nearly on his own at times for them last season. We all know how hard it is to replace a real top level goalkeeper.
