Hi, I have one of these in the next 2 weeks and just wondering if anyone can tell me what it's like?

I have to go back the following day with the equipment, do I leave the equipment on until they remove it the following day? Is it very restrictive or noticeable? Can I work in the afternoon or do I need the full day off?

    Thank you

Haven't had it done personally but I used it in my research.

Very discreet - could work with it on. It's a load of sensors - like an ECG I suppose - attached to your tummy and then there's a little unit that you'd carry. No worse than a 24 hour blood pressure monitor.

    Great technology!

I had one in Tallaght a few years ago, was very new at that stage- so much so my insurance bill was for a full-on day case endoscopy!

I went in at about 9am, was out in 15 mins after swallowing capsule, receiving pack which isn't that bulky and having sensors attached. I was told to come back at 5pm..I suppose length of time depends on what they're looking for. I was allowed eat a few hours after putting it on which was great as I react very badly to fasting. Definitely brilliant technology.
