    Cech, Hennessy
Ivan, Gomez, Cedric, S Taylor, Huth
Fab, Silva, King (BM), Sinclair, Ramsey
    Rooney, Giroud, Benteke

    Thoughts please?

Think i am pretty happy with this so opinions would be great. This is my team for week 1 and i will probably wildcard in week 4 to get Aguero. I don't know if Benteke will start but if not Wilson has a good home fixture. The plan is to play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 rotating Maharez and Wilson.

    Cech

    Shaw
    Cedric
    Huth

    Depay
    Mane----Hazard
    Maharez----Walcott

    Rooney
    Benteke

    Hennessy, Taylor, Gomez, Wilson

    I've done some tweaking & now I have -

    Courtois (Rudd)
    Cedric --Shaw--Bellerin --S Taylor --O'Shea
    Walcott --Depay--Hazard --Jedinak --Wanyama
    Wilson --Rooney --Costa

    0.5 in bank.

Plan to transfer Rooney & downgrade Walcott in around wk 3 to get Aguero.

Anyone any opinions on whether to keep Jedinak or upgrade him with my banked. 0.5? Thanks

Is that the OX?? If so it's a huge risk after this weekend.
You could do a lot better with that by replacing him with a playing 4.5 filler.
Upgrade Hennessy to someone who is first choice all the time, don't force the transfer on yourself.
You don't want Gabby, he won't play nearly enough, for an extra .5m you have a lot of choices to replace him.
I'd rethink Targett and Senderos as well, again you are only asking for trouble and looking at a definite early wildcard when otherwise you mightn't need to.

Long story short, get a 4.5 mid and begin from there.

mmm after this weknd when he scored winner again che????i think ox is gona start ,pre season ben good wilshere out with ankle inj hes earned his place think his 6mil fee is gona go up pretty fast but i agree about def its **** and cheers for reply

if playing 3-4-3 sell o,shea for 4mil def targett poss then 6mil on shelvey chamberlin or someone like that just a thought

Then the defence makes even more sense! The early WC is a lot easier to do with the new chips this year.

    Half entered my head earlier.
You could probably get away with 3 * 4M defenders if planning on playing the in GW 3-4.

Saylor and Targett may provide minutes in the first 2 GWs and you could use the 2-5-3 chip for GW3

Taylor, Baker and Gomez will have limited gametime between them, you'll need to invest 1m or so there. Ibe and the Ox are not in either team's realistic first 11 either. You'd be getter off Getting in a 4.5 mid and using the rest to upgrade.

Ibe, Gomez, Ox, Baker, Taylor are not all guaranteed starters. Would get the out.

Team that I'm fairly happy with to be honest. Highlighted in Orange are the ones I'm not 100% sure on.

Is Spurs' defense going to be any better this season, and if not, surely Alderweireld isn't worth the £5million price.

Is Ashley Westwood the best £4.5million choice?

Is Coutinho worth more than Henderson/Milner? I'm choosing Coutinho just because he had a better points:minutes ratio last season.

    Very solid looking team.
Only concern is Palace have a tough start.

Also Villa unlikely to keep many clean sheets.

I'll take a look so! You are much more likely to get a response if you save people a click and post the team in the thread until you are able to post pics.

GK: I prefer Myhill to Schmeichel but its very close really.

DEF: Looks solid enough a couple of decent defenders from top teams and good experienced players from lower teams who may benefit from the BPS changes but Huth & Schmeichel with a new manager would like to be avoiding that double up until we know more.

MID: Theo is the obvious risk here he might start up front or he might start on the bench its hard to know for sure combine this with going with players with no Premier League experience who you are going to have to start on a regular basis makes it even riskier. Personally I would downgrade Sterling to Mane and use the million to upgrade Deeney to Sakho.

ATT: Deeney as mentioned. A good few are going with him but rotating him with Ritchie but you are going to have to be starting the two of them pretty often by the looks of it.

Overall 5 9m+ players makes the team very lop sided unless you are captaining players at that price they are bad value in my opinion you are best to go with the 3 that you are going to be captaining and then use the extra funds to upgrade one or two of the weaker players that you are likely to be starting. For example:

Sterling, Theo, Deeney & Huth to Mane, Cazorla/Ozil/ramsey (whichever is your preference), Sakho & Cedric would make the team look a lot better imo. It would also mean not doubling up on a defence with a new manager.

Do you have anything in the bank and do you have an Aguero plan?

EDIT: I have basically just told you to turn your team into mine I guess its hard to avoid doing that really!

Cheers Jimmi. I was at work earlier and only had my phone so couldn't upload properly. Thanks for the feedback :)

Downgrade Schmeichel to a 4.0m GK, Courtois will play for you every week.

Only keep two of Shaw, Mert, Alder, Jagielka and get in a couple of rotating 4.5s, Leicester, Stoke or the like.

Then invest the savings in your front 7, wouldn't want Gabby anywhere near my team.

    Any thoughts on this?

Traditionally I load up on attackers and do fairly well and will probably do the same this year once Aguero and Sanchez are back regularly (I'll WC after GW 4/5 as usual). I went for balance with this one.

So haven't given it a lot of thought until this week and I've come up with this so far:

    team_zpscnlpjbyw.jpg

    Any thoughts?

My worries would be whether or not Ritchie adapts to the prem and the lack of a bit of sparkle on the bench. Other than that Gomez/Lescott/Kaboul are interchangable, Hazard & Sterling will have big seasons I think, Henderson is a steal at 7m, Rooney & Costa is self explanatory and Sakho is my wildcard.

Similar to mine. Will Costa be fit would be my worry. I'm not sure about Henderson also, as he may sit a bit deeper this year. Nice balance IMO

I think i'm gonna stick with this

    Courtois

    Azpi
    Darmain
    Koscielny

    Fabregas
    Sterling
    Ki
    Walcott

    Benteke
    Pelle
    Rooney

    Subs Schwarzer Coquelin Richards Mings

I can always change Walcott if need to

    Subs Schwarzer Coquelin Richards Mings

    Micha Richards?

Read earlier that he has been named captain so he should starts lots as will Mins so you are well covered there.

How much is Coquelin ... are there not better options with more attacking prospects

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 780 ✭✭✭Kirk Van Houten

    Appreciate any advice or options

    Butland/Adrian
    Bellerin/Ivanovic/Clyne/O'Shea/Taylor
    Hazard/Brunt/Walcott/Henderson/Ki Sung
    Rooney/Benteke/Bamford

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 128 ✭✭farranreeboy

    Hmmm. Not much between them.
Fletcher seems to be a popular punt around these parts.
