Rather then reply to a dozen posted teams.

Kos (6m) vs. Mertz (5.5) vs. Bellerin (5.5)
I'm going Mert, Bellerin/Debuchy/Chambers is too much of a conundrum for me. Is Bellerin the number 1? If so, does that mean he will play in Europe and be rested for some Prem games?

    My last 2 teams were:

    Ruddy (Rudd)
    Azpi Target Bellerin (Huth, O'Shea)
    Mahrez, Cazorla, Sterling, Hazard, Depay
    Pelle Rooney

    or

    Stekelenburg (Hennessey)
    Azpi Mings Bellerin (Huth, Saylor)
    Jedinak, Henderson, Sterling, Hazard, Depay
    Benteke, Rooney

Which is better? I hope Jedinak is on pens. In 2nd option Henderson can be too.

I'm tempted to go with Pelle (13,5% ownership) over Benteke.

Hard to find much wrong with that. Especially if you are bring in Kane and planning on rotating Wilson/Mahrez

    Sterling instead of Walcott maybe.

    getting closer I think :D

    gk: ruddy Rudd
def: Ivan darmian huth PVA targett
mid: haz Walcott mane mahrez Ritchie
    for: Rooney benteke sahko

happy with keepers as its most likely for 1st 4 games only
the front 8 is now almost certain
I had downgraded Wally to cazorla but my gut is telling me to stick with theo!
he is easy to switch to another top midfielder anyway
the defence is where I'm still unsure
gonna stick with Ivan for now and he could generate my aguero money for gw4
darmian has fairly good fixtures but so does mert/bellerin
after that I'm looking at a rotating pair - I like Huth as he is a considerable goal threat. they rotate nicely with Sunderland and PVA is the man for me for them!
that leaves me playing 2 leic lads the odd seek though........
just spotted actually that Bournemouth rotate perfectly with sland for 1st four games..........I'd be reluctant to lose huth though as I know nothing about Bournemouth defenders and would also mean doubling on them gw1&4

Right now to make up numbers.

I have £1m to spare by having himself and Taylor on the bench, which should give me some wiggle room to adjust for the first couple of weeks.

Making up numbers. Don't do that. Make sure you have 15 starting players with the exception if you have a 5.5 starting keeper.

    Hi Folks.

Trying to figure out a decent team and so far I've come up with this-

    Courtois--Butland
    PvA--Shaw--S Taylor--Bellerin--O'Shea
    Walcott--Depay--Hazard--Jedinak--Wanyama
    Rooney--Costa--Nugent.

£0.0m in the bank & no plan for Aguero (though I would like him)

I wanted to get in Hazard, Costa, Depay, Walcott & Rooney.

Hazard needs no explaination, Depay is playing behind Rooney who will be a lone striker & I would imagine Depay will be on set pieces, I'm hoping Walcott may play up front.

I don't know much about Steven Taylor (other than alot of people here are picking him) I would prefer Janmaat as he gets forward and can assist but he is 1M more.

Jedinak seemed to get some assists and goals for Palace last season.

Torn between Bellerin & Mertesaker (both 5.5) & PvA & Alder (both 5.0)

Anyone any ideas where I could strengthen my midfield as most likely wouldn't play Nugent too much (he was seemingly the best I could get for 5.5m.) Again, I don't know much about the strikers for the promoted teams.

Thanks for reading the long post (if you got that far :))

Right lads, about time I posted my team, please critique! I have given plenty of my own advice so far on this thread so it'd be nice to get something back :D
    Capture_zpskjkx8qw4.png

    GK

Ruddy, Butland - Rotate very well early on

    Def

Ivanovic - traditionally explosive starter, get burned every year by him. Easily downgradeable if it doesn't work

Cedric - 5.0 for nailed on attacking saints defender, no brainer

Martin, Francis - Norwich Bournmouth rotate well. Will try not to double Ruddy with Martin

Huth - Very good fixtures, set piece threat nailed on for 4.5

    Mid

Walcott - Fantasy gold, extremely explosive, first name on my team sheet with Rooney.

Hazard - Mostly the fear of going without

Mané - Between himself and Siggy good vs bad fixtures. Explosive. Was on Siggy for most part due to his fast start despite bad fixtures last year but Mane edged it lately.

Zaha - IMO best pick at 6.0 or less. Should have a key role for Palace. Potentially explosive.

Wanyama - Serious lack of 4.5 mids. This could be anyone. Got a goal or two last year and nailed on.

    FW

Kane - Edges Benteke as nailed on, main striker 90 mins per match and good fixtures.

Rooney - Guaranteed spot in my starting team. Main man up front at United with Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Depay and Pedro providing ammunition! Opening day captain.

Sakho - PL pedigree edges it over Deeney or Wilson for me.

0.5 ITB. Only problems are Costa and Aguero. Costa is gettable by downgrading Sakho to Deeney and upgrading Kane but I think I'll go without due to Haz and Ivan. Aguero is a wait and pray job.

Save 0.5 on Butland as you have Courtois. Bellerin slight rotation risk when fixtured pile up. Jedinak not strong enough as a 4th mid. Deeney or Wilson much better than Nugent for 5.5. I'd go Alder over PVA.

A nicely balanced, well thought out team. Any changes would only be minor. I see the appeal of Kane, but I prefer Benteke. The 1.0m edges it for me. I personlly woundn't go for Zaha, but that price bracket is tricky to predict. Going for Beneke over Kane might allow you to do something with Zaha?

Good team I'd change Martin to another 4.5 as he is a bit of a waste of a rotation option if you don't want to double up. A Sunderland defender maybe even pva at 5 or as you don't want to really use Martin you could take the punt on gomez.

Use the 0.5 to upgrade Wanyama to Scott Sinclair maybe he has been impressive in pre season and more attacking.

Also think with the starting fixtures and going by pre season Maharez is a better option than Zaha starting off.

Thanks for the reply. I just noticed, probably be dodgy having 2 Sunderland defenders in my team.

What about Cedric? I see you have him in your team (as do a few people) he's also £5.0m I think?

Very strong team. Nothing to criticise in any of the players selected. Be a bit wary of Wanyama as he's the highest owned cheap mid afaik and could incur price drops if he ends up beibg benched the odd time.

You've identified the potential problem yourself imo. Its harder to fit Aguero in when you have the money spread around the team with a big hitter like Ivan in defence and Haz in midfield.

If you really want to have a route to get Aguero without a GW2 or 3 wildcard try starting with him in the team, take him out and put the surplus into a luxury player somewhere who you can downgrage.

That's what has led me to a very cheap defence, extra big hitters in midfield, one of whom can go to an on form 6 or 6.5 mid to accommodate Aguero.

He played 90 mins in 45 league games + 3 playoff games as last season mainly at Cb. Captain an all I'd assume he'll be starting?

    4th and hopefully last draft

    Pantilimon/Krul

    Huth/cedric/ Francis/Oshea/Jenkinson

    Hazard(C)/Walters/Sterling/Cazorla/Wamyama

    Benteke/Ulloa/Rooney

    Playing 3-4-3

    Bank=2.5M

Palace fixtures are pretty tough for the first few weeks. I was thinking about Cabaye. So why not sit them out in the first few weeks and then wildcard to get them in when you think you should get aguero in.

Walters, Wanyama and Ulloa bring you down a bit. Use the 2.5 million to upgrade all 3 of those IMO.

A :Ivan huth along with darmian PVA and targett
B : Ivan huth along with Kos Coates targett
C: Ivan huth along with mert cedric and Staylor
    which is best?

How's everyone, never posted here before but intend to for this season. Long time player with decent enough success in my mini-leagues. Here's my history: fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/1718/history/

So haven't given it a lot of thought until this week and I've come up with this so far:

    team_zpscnlpjbyw.jpg

    Any thoughts?

My worries would be whether or not Ritchie adapts to the prem and the lack of a bit of sparkle on the bench. Other than that Gomez/Lescott/Kaboul are interchangable, Hazard & Sterling will have big seasons I think, Henderson is a steal at 7m, Rooney & Costa is self explanatory and Sakho is my wildcard.

Martin is nailed, but Busts is saying that it's a bit of a waste to pick him as part of a rotating defence when you'd rather not double up on Norwich with Ruddy

    Nearly settled;

    Cech - Schwarzer

    Bellerin - Yoshida - Janmaat - O'Shea - Moore

    Hazard - Ozil - Sterling - Henderson - King

    Rooney - Benteke - Sakho

With 1m in the bank for a bit of starting flexibility -> Benteke to Kane, Ozil to Walcott, or Sterling to Silva (hell, even Sakho to Falcao/JRod) if any of them goes wopper early on, and will likely wildcard around GW5-6 to fit Aguero in.

Janmaat rotating with O'Shea versus Williamson with PvA?

Way too much spent on defence imo, downgrade at least 2 of them, that will free up money so you can strengthen your midfield, Firmino will almost dfinitely not start at the weekend, I feel he'll be eased into the season, so I'd swap him out, seems to be a bit of doubt surrounding Giroud starting too! Not being harsh but there is room for improvement.

Clasie has huge potential, and I see a lot of goals coming through him, so a lot of assists. Depay is LVG's marquee signing, he will get game time, if it doesnt work out then I can jump ship. Likewise for Firmino. Im hoping to see attacking play from Bournemouth, particularly early in the season while confidence is high, Richie is their main man.

Its a risk, but its the differences that earn points, not the similarities.

    (I hope)

Maybe downgrade Krul as you have Courtois & use the extra 0.5 to upgrade midfielder, maybe Sterling for Firmino? At least he's a proven PL player & might get some goals/assists while Aguero is out.
