HP Pavilion windows 10 only seems to work online

Just bought one of these. Noticed that 'office' will only work when I am online and connected through my personal email. Not too keen to have to have my email open all the time just to use the machine. Also, what if I need to use 'office' or other apps when I have no wifi? Will it not work? Thanks. Am a baffled customer, just replaced the old Dell dinosaur and the new technology scares me to bits!

Did you buy Office, or are you just using a trial version?
