Only if she'd been clobbered by a falling smoke alarm.

Why don't the parents do 5am drills by testing the alarm to see if their kids fall in to the deaf or listening group.

That's a job for the wife. Zzz zzz

By the end of the show Joe will be advising listeners to let the kids sleep out the back in tents in case they don't hear the alarm.

Could a parent not get the common sense to tell them or are they just plain old thick?

If it was me as a teenager the fire would have to be burning my toes before I'd get out of bed.

The kids probably hear it and think the daft parents are playing some of that old Acid House music again.

Kids sleep deeper, we all know that. It's nothing to do with personal responsibility.

Pick up a 5 year old who's in a deep sleep and you can do anything, they just won't wake up.

Joe doing a bit of slightly hysterical scare mongering here. Back to usual.

My sis used to have a pad under the sheet linked to a bell that would ring when she wet the bed. She was supposed to get up and finish her toilet in the toilet but never did

A fire alarm where you can put different voices, there's my Dragons Den idea...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

The solution is to replace the loud beeping noise with the voice of an Irish Mammy shouting at the kids to get up.

Given that external noises often get incorporated into the dreams of the sleeper, the kids likely think it's a video game they're in or playing.
