Please don't use "click-bait" titles like "How do I". Use something that describes the problem, like "Internet connection dropping, Error 615".

A quick search suggests that might be a modem related issue, not likely to occur if you have broadband, so a description of how you connect to the internet would be helpful too.

    How do you

google the issue shows its seems to be modem related, just as Bayberry have noted.
What modem is it? Model number?

OK, so that's a Cable modem.

You were connecting to that using WiFi, and were getting a 615 error? That's odd. Did you install some connectivity program, or just using the native WiFi support in Windows?

(I'm kind of assuming that you're using Windows 7 or above - if the PC in question has XP, then that can be a different kettle of fish).

What form did the 615 error take. If it was a popup, did the title bar indicate what program was generating the report?

Hi Bayberry, There was a TP wireless card put into it over a year ago but the settings on that are fine...Yes it's windows 8. No pop up. just notification under Broadband connections on side, Charm icons..

Don't know what to tell you - when my router craps out, the only notification that I get is that I don't have any wifi any more.

Unless you installed some software form your ISP (totally unnecessary, but some ISPs seem to think it's a good idea) I have no idea why you're get an error like that.

WiFi dropping out can happen for a number of reasons, (baby-monitors and old wireless phones can sometimes interfere with the signal, sometimes interference from a badly shielded motor, and even microwave ovens can cause problems), but I don't think that would normally cause the error that you have described.

Yeah, it's just so annoying..I think i'll stick with the TP Link for the time being..He uses it for gaming, So it could have been some stuff that comes along with games that threw it out of sync, you know yourself..I really appreciate you taking the time to come up with a solution, So Thank you very much for that...Enjoy what's left of your weekend......

Sounds like a bad driver to me. Redownload and install the wireless drivers again. Any other wireless devices losing signal (phone or laptop)?
