Hmmm, I now have a dilemma over whether to draft Gronk early or not.

Who am I kidding? I'll still beat Podge.

You're going down Buer. Mostly because I plan on cheating ferociously this year.
When are we doing the Draft folks?

End of August sometime. Will send out a mail in a day or two to try and sort timings maybe. The more that can make the draft the better obviously.

Gonna take the league more seriously this season, had too many on the go last year.

Yeah, I have three ongoing but that's really my limit.

Assuming TB misses 4 games, is he a no-go in the draft?

Well Swiwi is never coming back at this rate...

No, he isn't. Fantasy season is 16 games long after all but it certainly reduces his value. There are enough solid QBs that you could definitely pick him and have a decent back up for the first 4 weeks.

    Have a watch of this.

To be honest I had a tear in my eyes at the end.

    What a send off.

Brady isn't that much of a star in FF. Wouldn't be a top 5 QB (8th last season and 14th the season before). Brady's legacy is largely based on his playoff record.

Not too many quarterbacks are worth targeting in the draft. Once you get past the likes of Rodgers, Manning, Luck and Wilson, they're all in or around the same. You'd be as well streaming them week to week depending on who they're playing.

Lots of guys there who are capable of having a big game in any given week who may not be on any other team like Ryan, Rivers, Stafford, Newton etc.

So what are the main scoring metrics for the main positions?

    I'm guessing:

    QB - Passer rating / TD:Picks
    RB - Rush yards
    WR - Yards after catch
    TE - Yards after catch
    Defence - Sacks/Picks

    QB - Passer rating / TD:Picks
    RB - Rush yards
    WR - Yards after catch
    TE - Yards after catch
    Defence - Sacks/Picks

Scoring metric for everyone is the same except QB. 10 yards = 1 point, TD = 6 points, Lost possession (fumble) = -2. For WR/TE it includes yards up to the catch (the total pass length is from the line of scrimmage).

For a QB you get 0.25 points per passing yard, 4 points per TD and -2 points per interception.

Defence starts with 10 points and loses points (quite quickly initially) for points against - not really something to rely on. The main thing is getting 1 points per sack and points per interception and most importantly per Defence TD.

Pats have a surprisingly balanced O in some ways. Brady doesn't post a huge number of yards or a huge number of TDs. TDs are where WRs and QBs make their points and NE run in a surprising amount of them.

    You're watching the radio?

A disk jockey from the wireless somehow managed to blag his way onto the hallowed grounds and defiled the entire institution. Expect a national emergency to be declared very shortly.
