I am filling out a form for a international fund transfer from the USA, the form is asking my to supply the International SWIFT Code and the BIC for my bank here in Ireland. Are these two numbers the same thing.

    Thanks

    Good Afternoon gary29428,

Thank you for getting in contact with us here on Boards.ie.

Your BIC(Swift code) and IBAN are 2 different numbers and can be located at the top of your paper or eStatement. If you do not have access to statements you can use this calculator to generate your IBAN and BIC using your account number and sort code.

We hope this helps and if we can assist you with anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

    Thanks,
    Elaine
