Hi, is it possible to leave a bike in a dry shed all year round, without getting any rust? I have one of those bike covers from Argos, but would that be enough to stop it?

I've had my bike in a windowless concrete shed with a good roof and with the door locked for two years (apart from when I'm riding it, which is most days). It has picked up a small bit of superficial rust on the chain, but nothing spectacular. Little bit of rust on some of the bolts too. It didn't show any sign of these when it was kept indoors.

    (No cover used.)

Have researched it and its best not to put cover on due to condensation building up underneath it causing rust. If the shed is well ventilated and dry, then if u put oil on all most components, nuts etc. every once in a while it should be OK but best to keep indoor obviously.
