So.. how much is the likelihood that the girls mentioned are mostly underage? I mean, doesn't that make up a fair amount of his fanbase? If so .. then these "lovely bottom", orgy, and condom posts are a little.. seedy.

I was wondering why there was so many people around, I looked out the window and the stalls were up and the guy shouting selling merchandise!
thought that it was strange to have a match in croker on a Friday!

I have seen enough that clearly looked 20-ish, but maybe girls in Ireland look older than they are?

I thought "Who is this Ed Sheeran?"

I had to google Ed Sheeran.

I´m glad I had to google Ed Sheeran.

    I love being old.

You're so lucky, I wish I never saw sight of the yoke myself. There are actually stories all over Irish media right now about how he went to his Granny last night and ate pasta. Why is everyone so obsessed with him?

What kind of grandmother cooks pasta over spuds!

Pretty weird seeing lots of girls in a city of over a million.

Seriously though. Ed Sheeran is one of those inexplicable cultural phenomena. I'm not necessarily dissing him or his fans, just kinda bewildered at how big he is.

    Like the Script.

Hard to begrudge the guy though. Can actually sing, plays his own instruments and writes his own songs.

I like some of his stuff. Easy to listen to, though don't think it'd be my sort of thing for a concert.

Damn wish I was in Dublin today with my trench coat.

It's such a warm day I will wear nothing underneath, not my fault if a strong breeze comes along and makes me expose myself.

    He's a fcuking drip.

Music for people that buy 2 albums a year.

Let's not add 'lovely bottoms', to the ever growing list from the I'm offended brigade.

I wouldn't bother Googling. Someone just tell me..who is this person?

I'm fed up of people expecting me to have heard of so-called celebrities who have never done anything to deserve real fame.

He's a perfectly fine middle of the road singer songwriter with catchy tunes and red hair
Not my thing but he's very popular

    Let me guess......

You're either a Fleetwood Mac type of guy or Metallica??????

Seriously?? Have you been living on the moon this past year? :pac:

That's what Nasa's big announcement was; they found some random bloke on the moon and they were bringing him to earth today.

He may or may not be a Fleetwood Mac type of guy, but I find it highly unlikely that Metallica have nothing better to do than post collectively on boards.ie threads about Ed Sheeran.

**** load of awards, few million album sales and two sold out nights at Croke Park would make him an actual celebrity rather than so-called in my opinion.

Not a fan of the guy but couple of decent self penned tunes. Wouldn't necessarily change the radio if he was on but wouldn't buy his albums either.

Still don't see the attraction of seeing him in such a big venue though. He's just a bloke with an acoustic guitar - surely a more intimate setting is better suited. I'll probably get slated for this and rightfully so but if given the choice of One Direction in Croke Park or Ed Sheeran in Croke Park I'd go with the boyband for entertainment purposes rather than musical ones.

Was thinking just the other week about his latest single release as the music video stars Ray Liotta.

Wonder how many of Ed Sheeran's fans recognise who Ray Liotta is, will probably think this will just be the start of a career for the new actor.

Wasn't begrudging him at all. Just one of those artists that you honestly get a surprise about how big they are.

Wasn't much of a pun to be honest. I scrolled through the thread twice looking for your posts and only seen one other than this one I am quoting. Severely disappointed to be honest thought I was going to see something really funny.

I'd love to listen to Bobby Gillespie on his own, possibly playing acoustic, effin' and blindin', telling slanderous/libellous stories[I can never remember which is which] while off his head on booze and drugs and singing some great songs.

But it probably lacks the broad appeal of Ed Sheeran.

Not surprised there were 1000s of teenage girls there; he looks (sans beard), sings and writes like a 12 year old girl.

You don't see many spotty teenagers in Dublin as you do elsewhere, I find. (I've been watching closely)
