    Hi there,

    Just a quick one.
If we are on one month break clause on rental contract starts 1st date of month when we pay the rent.
Could we give one month notice on 15th day of that particular month e.g. 15th of January that we will be leaving on 14th of February and could pay half of that month February's rent instead of paying full month or do we have to give notice when each month's rent payment start as per our contract?

    Thanks.

Notify the landlord of your one month's notice and let them know you'll pay the pro-rata amount of rent to the move out date.

Thanks Michael, so this is by law possible to pay the pro-rata amount of rent or if its up to Estatate agent (because I pay through EA) to accept this or?

    Thanks.

If your lease has a break clause then you only have to pay rent until the notice period runs its course. What exactly does the lease say?
