    The actual, exact location that fits the theme is a little bit further west than the picture, but would be too flat and featureless to be a realistic post in this thread. However, the name of the exact location derives from the name of this location.

    That's lighthouse on Cape Trafalgar down on Costa de la Luz, up the coast from windsurfing heaven in Los Caños de Meca.

    BTW piece of advice - don't drive into that sand off the road.

    Absolutely right - The Battle of Trafalgar (following the theme started by the Battle of Waterloo) happened out to sea to the West of Cape Trafalgar. I'm sure you'll agree that the open ocean would be too flat and featureless to appear on this thread.

    Oh don't mention the war.
    I got some grief for one pic that wasn't that descriptive, but thankfully someone came along and posted picture of grass in a stadium to make mine look positively bristling with clues.
    A pic of the ocean would be there with the grass.

    As for Cape Trafalgar ....
    If you have been there you will remember it otherwise it is hard to place.

    BTW I would bet most Brits wouldn't have a clue where Trafalgar was.
