Swapping UPC Routers

Hey,

I've moved apartments and the new place has a UPC TC7200 modem. It's pretty terrible all round from what I can tell. Random restarts, poor Wi-fi range and broken UnPnP that my NAS refuses to work with.

I have a TWG870 from my last apartment and never had any trouble with it. Will UPC change them out if I call them? I know UPC like to lobotomize their routers for some reason but the TC7200 really seems to be a POS.

They can do, they just need its MAC. Whether or not they'll oblige who knows, only one way to find out.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. The other option is they send me out a new router. Not sure how good their latest router is but surely it makes sense to not have to send one out.
