Finally ordered my towing eye cover from BMW, about €70 painted, not too bad I don't think.

Painted that ain't a bad price lads come on.
I really don't see how that's too bad!

Edit: GvidoR you thought a full bonnet and wing was expensive at €70 the other day so this must seem outrageous :)

I didn't say it was expensive, but I just though thought to myself, why pay €70, if I could get it for €30-€40 about 30 minute drive from there, y'know? It's not like they were new and from a dealer.

Order an unpainted one online, then get primer and paint in a motor factors. Job done. And you'll have paint for another time should you need it.

Well it's too late for that now.

All this diesel talk reminded me of the Aixam Coupe GTI.

It has a 0.4 litre diesel engine (5.4hp), weighs 350kg, has a top speed of 45 km/h and you can drive it without a licence. Costs more than a brand new Volkswagen up! though.

Still need a moped licence for it in Ireland and the UK. In France though you can drive it from the age of 14.

what was the final result of the bonnet done for 70e?

was it mates rates? Im not sure I would be happy paying 70e for a bonnet done unless they came with an excellent reputation. Bonnets are normally around 200e mark

Mines going to be the same price for my bonnet. To get a new towing eye cover primed ex shipping from a few places was about €22 then add on painting and vat which I did get priced and it's only about 5/10 less than what BMW wanted.

    It screams little knacker arseholes.

Some one decided to rob mine.

The reason I have not replaced is purely the cost is stupid for the size if it.
    I will buy it eventually.

Surely someone on adverts has a damaged black bumper with a good towing eye cover.

You'd be surprised! Most are missing or are not Sport bumpers which apparently have a different cover to the SE ones.
