    Hi all,

The OH's 2005 1.0ltr K12 micra is having an issues with intermittent revving while idling, scanned at local Indy garage no fault codes.

My guess is that its Throttle Position or Camshaft Sensor at least there the cheaper of the options mechanic said the timing chain is fine in a recent service
i don't want to fork out on a 10yr old car but its well maintained and has another few years ahead of it on the road.

    any ideas?

    Thanks in Advance
    TRBM

My girlfriend's 07 Micra had this, she brought it to the garage and they said it was a faulty sensor checking how much fuel was being sent to the engine so it was overcompensating (something along those lines, as you can tell I'm not a petrol head!), think it cost us 200e or 250e but can't remember.

Thanks will have to investigate further from research they seem to have faulty throttle bodies too with the sensor circuitry actually apart of the unit.

    Process of elimination!

MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor likely what you mean gave a bit of grief on odd K11 in which whole throttle body had to be replaced not sure what type of sensor on K12 Try searching ebay might show different types for your car...
