There is very a fine line regarding legislation in this area, "opinion" being a paramount factor - similar to defamation

The race baiting here is pretty clearcut.

If you're going to punish one offender, it is only right to punish everyone else who has posted something "threatening, abusive or insulting".

Incitement to hatred is a very specific crime.

Yep, they are also extremely pro life, want to bring in national service for all young people and believe a woman's place is in the home. Their Facebook page is a hoot of racist, homophobic crap.

So essentially they're probably more conservative than the muslims they're protesting against. And probably outnumbered by them by multiples, even in Kerry.

Has anyone told them that the Celts never really came to Ireland. It's pretty much one of the first things you learn in Celtic Studies. Should we also tell them that the Celts were, surprisingly enough, not Christian.

    That's LIBE4RAL LIE TALK!!!!

There's pages seperated by county too. I count at least 10k likes roughly, probably some overlaps too ofc. I really thought as an open nation we would be past this. Clearly a minority of dumbasses.

But are CCP inciting people to hatred? And hatred of what/who?

Why are they asking to "stop the white genocide"? What the hell? Read their policies, but there doesn't seem to be any notion of how it would all be paid for. Going back to "the punt" seems to be the sum of it. So I guess hyper-inflation is the plan??

    - Married couples will get 0% interest loans and will have the loan paid for if they have four kids.
Reading down through it it all sounds vaguely familiar. It's all the exact same crap the nazis came up with even the thing about rewarding women for having lots of kids.

Reintroducing the pound makes no sense the way they describe it. Bring it back but link it to the euro and somehow that protects us from global financial markets?????

We "indigenous people" are being wiped out by the darker skinned races, apparently. Only today a brief excursion for some milk and bread turned into a 3 hour chase of terror as I was chased by a black fellow who, I was convinced, intended to make an end of me. Fair enough he only wanted to give me back a 50 I dropped, but will I be so lucky the next time?

There we go, they felt like the Christian version of what they hate. We cant let Muslims come here and tell us that being gay is wrong, that's our job.

Im thinking theres a few of there members of boards after I saw that.

Hope to see them on TV around the next election.

Sounds like Michael Quinn and his Democratic Right Movement/Irish Nationalist Brotherhood loons have come up with another new name for their group.

Looking at the "Liked by this page" section gave me a giggle though; lots of nationalist/racist pages, Pegida, blah blah....and then, at the bottom, Jim Corr! :pac:

They're campaigning for their own version of social justice.

    That's why it's a meaningless term.

Where the hell do they get these ideas from? Did they bang their heads and think it should be the 60's again.

The Celtic People's Party of Ireland?

"... is a political organisation committed to preserving and promoting our Celtic culture and people..."

    http://www.rbfilm.com/courses_pdf/UT129.pdf

Bigots are generally wrong about what they oppose. They're funny. Especially in this case, when, on the very first sentence of there website they're factually inaccurate about what they're for.

Whatever it was the ancient people of Ireland was, it wasn't Celtic. We were on the fringes of Celtic Europe, but the indigenous population, despite having a fondness for curly swirly carving in stones, weren't celts. Celts only began to trickle in around 600 BBC. Neolithitic monuments, that in the popular imagination are thought of as Celtic, predate the celts by several thousands of years.

It's a Victorian romanticism, invented by some Welsh dude who's name escapes me. It's kinda cool to think of ourselves as Celtic, what with the mead and Mel Gibson painting himself blue an stuff.

If there's anything funnier than a bigot, it's a bigot who doesn't know who he is.

    :D

Black people for one set of people. Did you view the posts listed??

Inciting fear of a race of people is inciting hatred. Quite surprised that this has to be spelled out to you.

The whole idea of a celtic culture seems to be somewhat unlikely now. The people of north west europe where celtic in that they seem to have been hospitable to each other and traded ideas and culture. There are definitely some common themes throughout northern Europe but it highlights nothing more than these people were in contact with each other. There probably was a lot of crossover in religious mythology that gave them some common ground but they were probably just separate clan groups that did there own thing for the most part.

Apparently "Keltoi" pretty much meant "those feckin' northern barbarians" anyway.

Also, they have a particularly charming way of referring to black people as "the negroes". Not to mention one lovely comment about God ordaining that they live in Africa. The "or else" was fairly implied. They don't seem quite sure what they want to do about homosexuals. They can't quite come out and say "deport/kill'em all" so they dance around it by saying that homosexuals that are openly all homosexual and stuff are committing crimes but of course we should all love our neighbours and it[s not -illegal- to be one...until they can get away with it.

So another tiny crackpot party that everyone will ignore it is then. Nasty bunch. I do love how they keep saying "when we get power" as if there's a chocolate kettle's chance in hell of it happening.

Any political party that wants to do away with taxes and yet give full employment within 5 years and turn Ireland into a technological and manufacturing powerhouse has my vote. lol...
