Fair point, Lee does start slow and Saunders is sharp and effective early in fights. However Lee has only been beaten when he was overpowered and outmuscled.

I think Andy is the fitter, stronger and more powerful fighter between the two and that will tell over twelve. Its plain to see that Saunders has stamina issues that will catch him out when he moves up and this is a step up for him.

Andy has gotten past three very good and highly touted undefeated fighters in the last year or so that were operating on a much higher level than Saunders.

I think that in order to really make a case for Saunders, you have to presume alot of things will happen. To make a case for Andy, most of the evidence is already there.

Saunders is European level and has fought a much lower caliber of opposition than Andy. For me Andy needs a dominating win to really solidify his position as a legitimate champ, whether by a commanding UD or a devastating KO.

I agree on McEwan out boxing him but Lee was the fitter man that night, the cards were level after 9 going into the last round. If it had have been a Championship fight over 12 rounds it wouldn't have been considered a lucky win. Just a strong finish and great KO.

The Jackson fight was an absolute nightmare for Lee and I think that due to the 154lb limit, he would not have come on strong. However he still had the strength to get him out of there.

He was down by a couple of rounds to Korobov but in fairness looked comfortable enough after the opening couple.

Saunders has only fought to Euro level so far as you said but I believe his ceiling is higher than that. Win or lose, he'll probably win a title at some point. He's only 25 and has alot of tools.

Would love to see Andy putting on a big dominant performance, but I'm afraid it'll be more heart in the mouth stuff where he'll pull it from the fire. Saunders I reckon will take 5/6 of the first half when Lee will take over with a couple of KD's and either stop him or win with 2/3 points to spare.

Plus Booths style is more stamina conserving. His fighters throw alot less punches ,tend to circle their opponents more , and use alot of feints- see david haye

Would actually lean towards Andy for a change in this one. Saunders is a nice little boxer but nothing special. Korobov-lite. Of course he'll still out-box Andy for long stretches but I think Andy will connect often enough and solidly enough to swing things his way

Booth has done wonders for Andy. For the first time in his career he has evasive footwork. Steward had him for a decade and didn't give him that.
