So I'm in the market for a new bike and sorry for another bike thread.

Have about 3-4k to spend and going to avail of the BTW scheme also but that's my all in budget.

Took the cayo out for a spin yesterday. Lovely bike. Di2 is class. Light and very slick but it's just the color that has me thinking. I know it's minor but spending that sort of money I want to be in love with it.

Anyone got any other suggestions. Not too sure on the whole online purchase in case of returns etc but would rather stay with LBS

Plans are racing next year in local leagues. Sunday sportifs and triathlon.

    Any ideas appreciated.

I don't have any other suggestions as there are a lot of nice bikes out there within your price range. An awful lot tbh.

If you are Dublin based you could try CycleSuperStore. They have some lovely bike porn upstairs.

I'd agree with your decision about the colour though. I pulled the trigger on the bike of my dreams over a week ago as I was getting it at an exceptionally good price, compared to its normal price. It was either an ex demo or a "returned" bike.

After emailing the supplier over a few days I realised I could probably have lived with the colour but it would irk me, endlessly.

So I didn't bother with it.

They were sound about it too, which was cool.

    Happy shopping!

How about Rose own brand with Di2 ultegra and disc brakes or in your budget they have the Dura Ace Di2 I think.

Yes I've been in CSS a few times. So e lovely bikes. I was planning on a visit there today.

The more I show people the colour and look at it myself it's really growing on me. I suppose the main thing was that the colours are the same on my bike at the minute but in different layout.

Anyway still more thinking to do.

I kinda wanted to stay away from online but I agree I could get a good deal with rose. They have some nice looking bikes.

With a budget of 3/4k you could start looking at a custom build.
I'd personally recommend Hollingsworth in Kilmacud
They have access to all the big brands and generally are willing to work with you and your budget.

That looks like the older 10s version of Ui2

    "Shimano Ultegra 6770, 10-speed, Di2 drivetrain, a stiff and lightweight Rotor 3DF crankset, "

Kinetix Products is great. Paul Hicks is a gentleman who gives really good advice. Highly recommend him.
