relocating an established Pieris Japonica tree

hi all, can anyone advise whether its possible to relocate an established Pieris Japonica tree? would the roots be very deep in proportion to the tree? tia.

How big is it? I reckon it should be possible, but not until late autumn, and depending on what size it is.

thanks looksee, the tree is about 2m high. absolutely beautiful just the location isnt ideal.

As a general rule, if you can avoid moving any tree, that is preferable. 2 m is pretty big to be moving it. Suggest you cut off any finished flower heads, cut off any damaged or unwanted branches. In the autumn lift it with as much soil as you can and put it straight into a prepared hole. Water well and maybe put in a bit of support to stop it rocking until it is established.
