I had boiler serviced by Dublin Plumbing and Gas Company. Simple straight forward service. After the guy left our hot water is not heating which was not an issue before. I have tried phoning the company and emailing but they are not answering anything and when I finally got to speak to the guy who did the job he said oh I must have not closed a valve back!!!! Can anyone explain to me what valve I need to turn back please so we can have our hot water again. Its a gas boiler where the rads are heating fine but the hot water is not heating. I have attached some photos to show the valves he may be speaking about. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for replying. Do you know where this valve would be located and how many times it should be turned clockwise or anti? For some reason I cant seem to post the photos. Also there is a black lever to the left side of the cylinder/hotpress which I have been at now and cant remember whether it should be at vertical or horizontal position, would you have any idea? Thanks.

The balancing valve if fitted is usually a red valve at the bottom of the cylinder it should be opened around half.
Re the other valve I don't know I'd only be quessing without been able to see it

I twisted that valve to half way and water is heating to warm but not hot the way it used to. Is there any way of getting the water to heat to hoter? Thanks.

Yes that thermostat is at 60. Dont think its to do with that when I spoke to the plumber who carried out the service on the boiler he said he must have left some valve open. Of course the company promised at 3.15pm today to have someone out this eve before 7pm and of course no show, when I try phoning the mobiles, they are just hitting the reject button now to my calls. So frustrating, how are these people in jobs!!! Anyway thanks for trying to help.

Is there an air vent on top of the flow pipe coming out of the cylinder? When Robbie says open half way he doesn't mean a half turn, he means if it takes say 4 full revolutions to fully open anti-clockwise, then open 2
