    It just shows the hypocracy of pretending that Irish is our first language. It may say so in the constitution but in reality Polish and Russian are probably used by more people on an everyday basis.

    Exactly, the Irish language is treated like the illegitamate child of the country, it's just given the bare essentials to stay alive but they won't just instead kill it off for fear of impact on their reputation.

    Update: Irish tourists told to leave Tunisia

    The Department of Foreign Affairs has increased its security warning and advised against all non-essential travel.

    Its a bit late for our Taxi driver buddy, wonder what ever came of him? Maybe he'll be coming home on the Eithne today..

    I think today would be 2 weeks since the incident and he was due to stay 2 weeks, he's probably expecting a big media presence for him at the airport arrivals like when Brian Keenan came back from Beirut after 4 and a half years held in captivity.
