Wonder what % of the "contributions" is going to the US company? They are hardly "consulting" for nothing. Yet another own goal by the Catholic Church IMHO

A professional fundraiser probably gets the same amount of respect as a concern or airtricity individual calling to your door.

"The car decided to stop", that red engine light that was on the car for the last 6 months must have been trying to tell me something.

Reminds me of the time my friend decided to drive his girlfriends car down to the shops. He noticed that she had placed a tea towel in front of the warning lights on the dash board. When he got back to the the house he asked her why said tea towel was placed thus.

Her reply ' oh, there was a red light on that was annoying me so i covered it with the towel'

Turns out she had covered the oil pressure warning light with the towel for 6 months!

I never give money to the church, the vatican is one of the biggest landlords in the world and wealthy than many countries.

Friend of mine asked me, in all seriousness, if he should be topping up the oil when the red light came on, as he hadn't bothered for a while. I was curious if his car had a low level light, but no - it was the pressure light that was flickering when he cornered.
Topped it up and the bearings were fine - any longer and they wouldn't have been.

Being a girl I though the Red lights were there to give a bit of colour to the dash ... otherwise it's very drab really :)
