What does getting a thread stickied mean?

It means it stays at the top of the list of threads.

    Cheers!

Did EI-EWR go tech? I'm also amazed they managed to hire something in at such short notice in July. (I'd imagine it's an OMNI)

Its so popular that it is always at or near the top anyway.
Sticky threads are for useful threads that may not get the daily activity to keep them at the top.

You guys should keep an eye on the Periscope app for smartphones - live streaming by anyone from their phone. A lot of it's fairly basic so far but as it grows it could be great. Was watching these BA guys at Heathrow this afternoon streaming from their van as they went around the airfield delivering parts.

How would we link our broadcast here?

It should automatically post a link on your Twitter timeline. Then you can paste it here. At least, in theory that's what should happen. Haven't seen many in Ireland at all, was watching one in 'Dublin' earlier of this guy driving round and round, it was actually Cork.

Problem is when your down along the runway and start broadcasting you can't leave the app and post it in here,You need two devices.

Ah. But you can just give out your Twitter link and we can hopefully pick up on when you 'go live' :P Some streams seem far better than others, I can't get my phone to zoom when in Periscope and it just looks a bit lame really. Yet I was watching someone by the river thames and it was top, top quality and zoom too. Sorry, I sound a bit too into this thing don't I :P

If you know the person aswel you can follow them on the app and a notification will pop up when the go live, I done it down at Dublin 28 myself one evening and there was around 5 viewers.......It was a cold night so i didn't hang around for long

My zoom is working on the iphone 6,Have you updated your app recently?

Ah yeah :) I think it'd be brilliant for spotters, then again depending on the airport you may have issues with security.

Er probably not haha, will give it a go

An-124 Overflight due tomorrow morning crossing the middle of the island eastbound for Germany.

Probably around 05:30 to 06:00, would be splendid in the early Sun if the clouds comply.

They pop up sporadically. Always find it weird that they aren't always up.

CHC's S92s for the UK coastguard are always up but the Irish ones aren't

A 'periscope' thread is needed so we can all follow each other. (That sounds creepy) :D
