Golden opportunity wasted. There's no way Kerry will play as bad in the replay.

Really don't like that defeatist attitude.

Cork have nothing to fear from that Kerry team. They can improve just as much as Kerry can. All in the head.

    Great display by cork footballers.
    Was never a penalty.
    Great passion and fight.
Thinkstoomuch is definetly having a stinker of a year.
Everything he predicts the opposite happens.
Hope yere footballers can build on today's display can finish the job in the replay.
Would your stop your agenda please against my posts
How many other said like me
And you never called game before it
And I suggest you read my post half time before game as said Cork had a chance
    You see what you choose
    I'll repost it you want
I'm absoultey delighted cork didn't loose but wanted win but unlike you see bigger picture
I have no intention celebration moral victory in draw game should won
Waterford may do such things that's your right i respect it
But I want cork to win
Cork football glorified moral victory before it is not the way forward

Missed the game but saw Shields coughing up the ball to hand Donaghy a very very early Christmas present - shocking defending there.

I've seen it posted in several places the replay is in killarney. Is that correct?

Don't mind having the replay in Killarney again one bit - pressure will be on the Kingdom big time after today.

That's the realistic view totally agree golden chance lost
Lads showed great pride passion and skill but it wasn't enough
Our blanket like said all year every league challenge is appalling as two fifteen today again conceded

    Now kerry defence was ditr

    But who will solve there's

Kerry as a year as passed with out cork solving there's and kerry half forward line like I said before and half time was work horses no creative players
The next day it will change

Cork could win if made changes but they imo won't as this performance won't be looked at ruthlessly

Kerry will be like dogs after this
    Once bitten twice shy

I don't think Cork are under no pressure in cork now above the radar so they have to perform the next game other wise another false dawns

Good game for the neutral, I thought the ref screwed ye big time.

Kerry's defence was piss poor , if your free taker had knocked over the 45 you'd have been done and dusted.

    Referee was appalling

The next day I only see one winner
    Kerry

I was utterly convinced this was the case for the match today and only got home for the second half as I thought why rush to see us hammered.

They put pride back into the jersey and I hope they can display the same fight and determination the next day.Take out the extremely soft penalty and we would have won.

Lets try to look at the many positives rather than thinking why bother turning up the next day. If we play like that second half we will win a lot of games.

Very proud of the Cork players now. I was so sure they would be hammered but they really stood up! We should have won definitely but no reason why we cant the next day.Now they know they can play like that they need to stand up again and finish the job off.The O'Driscolls were fantastic!

    I agree totally
Twas awful defending from such a great player
Should be taken off with Cronin staying on and going to the corner with cadogan full and clancy on hold the centre

Kerry were weak down the centre and Cork never took advantage

Most of the blame lies with the player that gave the pass to shields. He was facing his own goal and a Kerry player either side of him. Stupid pass to give.

We will certainly be under pressure but nothing compared with Kerry - for Christ sake they are All-Ireland champions playing at home.

I think its a test we need come what may... Cork are too nice to teams and need to be tested over and over again to battle harden the player's .

Even a point loss Saturday week in Killarney would be disappointing but ultimately it would be worth its weight in gold.

As soon as Kerry pushed up in our kickouts the game changed. We haven't a clue how to deal with it.

You could actually see the belief dissappear on the pitch. Such poor planning from management. Why are they persisting with Loughrey marking their most dangerous player? Incredible

It was awful management again today
You see we loose so many times kerry today understand ably so emotions are excited and relived after avoid a huge defeat and at times it can cloud realistic views as some will say look at the positives the work ethic etc and the fight etc

    Yes all true
But kerry conceded three goals that won't happen the next day
They have five starting players and won't allow cork momentum but they will go for the game right from the off
O brien won't start the next day or sheehan

Today a spirited display we had but ist half just had two scores from play
Blanket conceded huge scores and much maligned hallorhsm had superb save and as I always thought is best shot stopper around in cork
We didn't change single player til forty five minutes while kerry changed fast
And kelly who was awesome actually only started as Kerrigan got black card
I don't see anything get too excited about as like I said we had win as kerry view is kerry on off day below par with their second team still can't be beaten cork killarney
That's not anything to celebrate imo

That's true kerry are under pressure but it actually improve kerry as they strive for challenge and that is when there lethal
Today they didn't treat cork respect as they didn't see cork as a threat so had no focus
Cork don't react well to pressure as when the game could be won we hadn't great donnacha on who would won us the match

    Kerry love pressure

Brian Hurley needs to be told to stop being so selfish. I've noticed this from last year he's only worried what his personal tally is. Hasn't the team at heart IMO

It started when loughrey was burned by Donough
He'll be on him though in two weeks as Cork management can't see what all of cork can he's outstanding half back but not a corner back

    I agree a poor pass

TTM, please ffs some bit of positivitiy. Of course Kerry will be different for the replay......is there any possibility cork could also improve? Fellas like kevin odriscoll, barry, Stephen Cronin, all played really well. Except for a 15 minute period in the first half cork were weill in this game. However it is fair to say we got killed by this ref, not just the nonsense penalty, it was the lack of black card to Obrien, donaghy and walsh which was a disgrace.
Have cork become hugely improved, it has to be shown in the replay for it to stick, a poxy goal and a bad call for a penalty and this was comfortably corks win. I have more a feeling of cork 1987 draw rather then cork 2010 draw....................delusional perhaps but I really thought cork were at nothing this year, NO MORAL VICTORY or any of that bull**** but at least hope for more to come perhaps.
Of course we must be wary and not allow this to become a moral victory but compared to where we could have been at half time I will take it for now. Alan o connor take a bow, some performance

You see that where good coaching comes in
    In they develop a player
Hurley huge potential but never erased he's weak areas as imo poor coaching is the root of it
O donughe was selfish once but not anymore

Sickening. We haven't won in Killarney for twenty years and today we blew the best chance we'll ever get today.Kerry to win the replay handy I'd say.

We were robbed today pure and simple. The referee was nothing short of a disgrace. Donaghy should have been black carded. James O'Donoghue should get an oscar for his dive for the 'penalty'. Kerry like Kilkenny get some very strange favourable decisions.

TTM - You are a good poster and I enjoy your input because of your detailed knowledge of Cork GAA BUT you need to stop digging here.

I posted here that writing off Cuthbert's 2nd year was very premature.

Management were superb for this one - they did not respond to all the OTT criticism and it's obvious that our players had serious belief.

Barry O D was an inspired choice at HB and KOD wasn't far behind him. R Deane doesn't look 100% fit to me but he's not long back from an ACL injury so he'll improve. We'll have Clancy and O Rourke back in contention and I see no reason we can't finish the job.

That penalty decision was outrageous - all the effort and to robbed by in incompetent official - same as v Mayo last season. It's a huge issue with the GAA - why can't they sort it ?

Can someone get in touch with the Cork County Board and tell them there is no point in turning up for the replay so we can forfeit the match and forget all about football this year

Sean you were always huge critsed this team and you have numerous times questions the set up

You surely realise kerry bench in look at the half forward line It and I said this before the game was with Buckley and o brien not creative team so you're thinking without Murphy geaney and course Gooch etc and maher kerry were the real deal

I know you didn't post much in the lead up to this game so I don't know what you though this kerry team but as soon as I saw the team kerry named I changed from kerry be certain winner cork had chance

    Why was that
You know my posts long enough now be fair
    Kerry were complacent
Cork had superb display from Kevin and Brian and Barry Driscoll and o Connor was awesome and o Connor and cadogan and o Neill

    But defence was poor
And when kerry brought on the big guns cork were in trouble

Surely you question how loughrey left on donughe all game and I'd say at half time you probably feared for Cork hugely

Barry o Driscoll was awesome going forward and great goal but kerry never attacked he's wing
The next day he'll be tested defensively
So I'd take him out half back and put half forward

It's not a case of negativity sean but I don't run with a hare and chase hound on one game
There's been too many one off performance in cork football down the years

As I said this was a second string kerry and we couldn't beat them and they were there to be beaten today
To draw a game we should won I won't celebrate it like an all Ireland

Unfortunately I'll be unpopular here saying it and don't want to be but Cork have to strive for better

How do you rate the management tactics and changes
Surely you agree o Connor should stayed on over hurley

It's the same attuide hold cork gaa back year after year
We get one performance yet people forget that last year it was the same v mayo
    Nobody saying not turn up
What we're saying is Cork golden chance win today and kerry based proven management will probably improve further so huge concerns remain with Cork

Next week is the key or whenever the game is

Look unlike yourself which is your right i don't chop change on one game with my views

When I see sustainable evidence we have changed then I'll be convinced

You have changed views as you well you know now be fair regards huge critsed cork to them jumping on the band wagon with few wins to then slate the set up despite not seeing the problem that are there

O Driscoll was outstanding but kerry half forward didn't test cork defence wise

    How was management superb
You said last week cork have good results with draws one point losses before so with greatest respect posting wise you seem view that it acceptable loose games or draw games should won

Imagine Roy keane here like draw Holland away he was fuming as they should won

Kerry had five starters on the bench
    Loughrey was left on donughe
    Cronin outstanding taken off
Gould faded and deane on too late
Hurley stayed on while donnacha brilliant taken off

Now kelly should started but for Kerrigan wouldn't came on

Yet you say management were outstanding
In fairness now that's your view fair enough but I have higher standards in my rating of management

I called it probably only one last few days say kerry were complacent and at half time said Cork with goals real chance
    Yet you say I'm digging
In fairness I'm saying what I said before

Where I was wrong was Kevin odriscoll who was outstanding be fair
Cork scored two points play with wind ist half and conceded two fifteen so hardly great display

Good heart and fight and individuals performance but still huge work do with the system

He'a a top forward and worked very hard today both on and off the ball but he could learn a lot from Donncha and hopefully he is. He missed one great opportunity to release Cronin who was through on goals but he's young and this part of his game will improve plus when playing for the club he has to shoot most of the time so that's his natural instinct.
