Scratch cards - are they legit??

I've never heard of anyone ever winning more than €4 on a scratch card (the regular newsagent ones).. has anyone here ever heard of anyone ever winning the big prizes that they advertise like €10,000 or even anything over €500.

Surely if they were legitimate then somebody would have heard of someone winning big..

My Mom won 500 quid on one in the eighties. Most I was was twenty quid.

Back in the 90s I was working for the Post Office in the UK.

A branch we had, sold scratch cards at a desk in the front. I remember queues of guys from Somalia, buying these things in 20s and 50s.

Could be wrong but I don't think they were onto anything.

There was a story recently of two brothers, in Cavan I think, who won over 10k or something - but I don't know anyone personally who has won more than a €50

I won €25 before! I Know people who have won €100 and Heard of a lad winning g €200k last year in a petrol station in Longford.

I won 50 quid, collected it and bought another, and won another 50 quid.

The happy tale ended there though.

How did ye win €200k? thought the largest you could win on any of those was €50k without going on a tv show.

My brother won £1000 on a scratchie not long after the lottery started. I've won a few €100s but rarely buy them - mostly presents.

I never heard of anyone winning €4 on a lottery ticket. Where would I be likely to hear such information?

I won €380 on one of the €10 ones before and a few €100-€120 wins on the sae type,but then again i am a degenerate gambler...

Won a couple of €25 over the years. Heard of people winning prices up to about €1000. My father also won an hamper out of Hampers and Roses back in the late 1900's.

You are being too harsh on yourself. Inveterate gambler might be more appropriate.
