Moka Pot Coffee

    So I bought a Moka Pot the other day while on my holidays in Italy.

    I'm asking now which supermarket available coffee works best with them.
    I'm tempted to buy some nice cloudpicker grounds but for the first while I think cheap and cheerful will work for a while!

    Good oul' Lavazza Rosso as the Italians themselves drink. Unless you're going to use freshly ground coffee I wouldn't spend any more than that

    If you fancy treating yourself, Illy is just gorgeous, but Lavazza Rosso is my go-to and it's grand. And some Supervalus have "3 packs for 2" packs for 9.50ish, which makes it great value.

    I think Lavazza will be the blend of choice for the time being- have a soft spot for them for a long time.

    Anything works fine. Cloud Picker is very good in a Bialetti stovetop espresso. Illy good, too.

    Agreed, I was using a HasBean with the Moka pot but since the sterling is so strong I switched to Lavazza Rosso and it's perfectly fine. Obviously a bit of a drop down from freshly grounded has bean but very drinkable.
