I've seen Firmino play maybe 5 games and he looks good. But I agree with CSF. Sterling is potentially one of the best of his generation.

Sterling definitely has a higher ceiling of potential.

Yeah, potential. It's a massive gamble spending that much dosh on anyone (even for City), let alone a 20 year old whippet.

I can only conclude that you are a delusional Milan fan. Milan have been a nothing club for some time now. 10th in a league with one good team in it.

I'm a realistic Spaniard actually. Soy de Andaluzia. Milan being a "nothing club" is laughable, they are still Milan.

Milan under performing for the last 4 years, yeah that's definitely true, especially the last 2. But it's not that long ago that Milan finished 11th under Fatih Terim and then won the Champions League under Ancelotti 2 seasons later.

Juve were 10th when Milan won the league under Allegri and won Serie A the year after and were in the CL final this year.

Man United finished mid table last year, scraped 4th this year and I can bet they will push Chelsea next year.

Big clubs don't become "nothing" they have bad spells but they always bounce back.

Ok, the biggest clubs, the Milan's, Juve's, Real Madrids, Man United's and Barcelona's of the world. They will always be the big dogs in the long run.

Rahman Baba in talks to join Chelsea.

I wanted HSV to sign him last summer after we played Fürth in the relegation playoff game, but instead we signed Matthias Ostrzolek from Augsburg for €2.5m, and then Augsburg replaced him with Baba for the same amount.

One year later, Baba is going to be sold for €15m - €20m and we aren't sure if Ostrzolek is the answer. Typical.

I can see Chelsea signing him but sending him off on loan straight away.

Definitely. He isn't ready for such a jump.

I would leave him with Augsburg for another year. They are in Europe.

Yeah, good idea for both clubs to be fair and they have previous. Unless he ends up in Holland like other Chelsea yoofs.

How reliable is Di Marzio? He also says Liverpool are still in talks for Kovacic in an earlier tweet tonight. All the journalists close to the club have denied any interest.

Nainggolan to Roma permanently finally done apparently.

Roma pay Caglari €20million for the remaining 50% of his contract with another €2million of potential performance related bonuses.

As well as that Roma get Victor Ibarbo on loan for another season.

Atletico aren't exactly a poor club. The reason why their transfer funds have been so shyte of late is because of how corrupt their past decade was financially. The team were underdogs in some sense. The club though almost certainly isn't.

Ajax, Celtic were once great clubs. They still are in many respects but it'll be a long day until they win a European championship again.

    Firmino confirmed.

I guess we owed Utd one for Depay.

    1-1 going into extra Clyne

How much is Firmino usually worth in Football Manager? About £50m? Can only be a good Sign!

Didn't Atletico blow like €100m last summer? They are hardly paupers going by the fees they paid the last decade. Milan won a European cup less than 10 years ago & go back to look where Juve were then...
A long way back obviously but €75 is too much to be paying for those two players if your Milan. They are good but I doubt you'd ever make your money back on them. Martinez is nearly 29 & Kondogbia was so expensive looking at his contract too (but better value than Yaya for Inter long term).
I think there are better ways to spend that money if your Milan like signing a centre back which they needed since Silva & Nesta left at the same time

Roma director, Sabatini, has confirmed the club is interested in Sevilla striker, Carlos Bacca.

Spanish papers reported yesterday a €25m has been turned down. They're selling Destro so they'll probably be able to trigger the release clause

PSV Director confirmed Liverpool spoke with Depay, haven't heard anything similar with Firmino/United. Does it matter though? All a bit sad really.

L'Equipe reporting that Sunderland are speaking to representatives for Moussa Sow over a 4 year contract and a fee rumoured to be £7.5m. He seems to be the go-to link to us for the press over the last few years (taking over from Robbie Keane) so whether it's true or not who knows.
